Physical Description Of average height and appearance, T'lena is an otherwise unremarkable young Vulcan woman. Dark hair is kept cropped short, her features petite and pale, with a faintly greenish tinge offset by the dark brown depths of her eyes.

She carries herself confidently, which may come off as arrogant to those with no Vulcan understanding and her know-it-all attitude is oftentimes frustrating; but it also aptly represents her desire -- a genuine hunger -- for knowledge of any kind. She is, by the judgement of her disappointed parents, a rather excitable young woman who has failed to grasp the Vulcan teachings of logic over emotion, and she has embraced the failure by showing more emotion than most Vulcans.

Personality & Traits

Personal History T'Lena is the single child of a small family, having no siblings and no relatives who actively participate in her life. Her father is a prominent and respected member of the priesthood, her mother a religious adherent to the many-faceted faith of the Vulcans. They had strived to raise T'Lena in a similar way, grooming her as a child so that she would have the foundation necessary to ascend into the priesthood and follow the footsteps of her father.

But even Vulcan children have the ability to rebel, and as T'Lena neared the minimum age for academy acceptance, she had begun to dream of more intellectual pursuits -- ones which would take her on a journey through the literal stars of the galaxy. She had no desire to join the priesthood, even while measurably faithful herself.

It took all the courage she had within her for T'Lena to defy her parents: she applied to the academy... And was rejected out of hand, with very little thought given to her proposal. They quoted, she was "lacking in necessary fundamentals". Naturally, her parents were absolutely scandalized when they found out, and they did one thing parents of teenagers were wont to do: they grounded her. They shipped off their daughter to a Vulcan monastery, where she could meditate and reflect on all her illogical wrongdoings.

They underestimated her ability to rebel though. T'Lena happily hopped aboard a ship, but it was not destined for the outlying monastery: it carried her to StarFleet, where she found welcoming arms and an easy acceptance into their academy.

After seven years of pure freedom in all her scholarly pursuits, T'Lena eventually graduated and began her first tour: science officer of Faltan Station. Her parents, though informed of their daughter's achievements, did not contact her.
