Mission: Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: Somewhere on Faltan
Timeline: MD01 - 1500

What Nevala hated most of this place was that she could not leave it. She missed her Telhas, and she missed her freedom. But everything else... she had been treated like royalty, and this place looked like a palace. She experienced even more luxury than with Telhas. Not because her husband could not afford it, but because he simply did not want to spend too much money on luxury. Of all the Romulan Patricians, she had to marry the most Vulcan one. Yet she missed him.

She took a seat at the small pond in the corner of the garden, where the walls gave some shadow. Telhas would have loved this place. A desert place, but with enough water to make it comfortable. An oasis. The right place for him, who 'is the water in the desert'. She smiled when she thought of his credo, the ancient credo of the duke's of Vulcan's Forge. Will I ever see him again? What are they planning with me? She took off her boots and put her bare feet into the pond. The water felt comfortably cold.

Without any sound a gentle voice came from behind her "Enjoying your stay Lady Nevala?" Vic had appeared from behind her with her hands behind on her back as she softly smiled "My apology that it took so long to finally meet you. Call me...Victoria or Vic" She stated. Vic looked quite fashionable clothed in some kind of uniform, different from the Red Guards that were protecting the area. But her sword at her side was noticeable.

Nevala startled as she was ripped out of her thoughts. She looked at the person who spoke and rose to her feet. "Lady Victoria." She bowed her head. "It seems I do not need to introduce myself." She smiled politely. "Yet unfortunately, I cannot enjoy this as much as I would like to. Being confined adds some bitterness to this place. But I have to admit this is a beautiful place, one where I would feel thoroughly comfortable if circumstances would be more... voluntary." She had kept her smile during her entire reply. "So I guess you are behind all this?"

Looking at the formality of the woman, Vic slowly nodded "Yes, yes I am and I truly sorry for what has happened to you" Vic said with some degree of sincere "But you see, there are just some matters that require my attention directly and this is one of them" She motion towards the table and chairs where a servant had placed some tea "Please join me" She walked toward towards the chair and said down.

Nevala let her boots rest at the pond and followed Vic. Taking a seat she looked at her for a moment, taking time for her judgement. "You are a civilized person, and a skilled warrior. But one who fights in the shadows, which I can say by the way you sneaked up on me. Please forgive my rudeness, but are you here to execute me?" Her voice and body language showed perfect composure, but her eyes betrayed her. She could not hide the fear in her eyes.

Taking a sip of the tea that was rich with flavors as she looked at Nevala "If I wanted to kill you, then you would be dead already Lady Nevala. I don't work often in the shadows, but a planet like this, I have to" Placing her cup down and taking a deep breath "You see I am a skilled warrior, I rather fight with person looking right into my face, fear, anger, honor or whatever emotion you have within you....driven to fight for what you believe in. That is the kind person I am"

A bright smile appeared on Nevala's face. "You remind me of my husband. At least partially." Slowly her smile faded. "If I may ask you a question. Why are you doing this? Why interfere with us? We have no interest in this planet, but the place is just perfect. The people here, they are not our concern. You are also not from here. What is so interesting in this place? Please forgive me if I am too curious," she smiled charmingly, "but you do not need to answer, do you?" She added her most charming smile.

Taking a sip of her tea and she looked from over her cup towards Nevala "Well, your husband has a reputation that is well...known throughout the lands and ...planets?" Vic replied as she lowers her cup "Thus I need to sent a clear message to him and your family that Raeya Block is not their playground, it is ours" She pointed out and leans a bit back in her chair "As for this place..." She looked at her side towards the calm water "We have our own valid reason to be here.."

Nevala laughed. "You could have saved the effort. We have no interest in the Raeya Sector. It is a shitty place, unworthy of our attention. Unfortunately, it borders two or three of our playgrounds. From here we can access them best. Can we arrange that you do not mind us staying here whilst our games are still running, and in the meanwhile we simply ignore whatever you do within the Raeya Sector?"

Letting the woman laugh as Vic stayed quiet and just took another sip of her drink "Yet, your scene of dying made it very clear to me what your husband will do. The warning is set Lady Nevala, this is something you also need to keep in mind. That bombing might fail the next time if you ignore the given warning" Vic rose her cup and smiled as she took the final sip.

"I doubt it that Telhas will hold back from killing every single life form on this planet in that case," Nevala said seriously, "Just to take me right, this was not a warning, just my thoughts. But we will not interfere with whatever you do here, as long as you do not interfere with whatever we have to do in the neighboring regions. At least I prefer to be good neighbors with you. I hope this is mutual." She took a sip of her tea. "The tea is very tasty. Would you mind giving me some as a present? Say, for the inconvenience you caused me?" She smiled politely. "Pardon me, this was a bad joke. It seems I still cannot handle this situation properly."

Not really responding towards that blunt reaction as Vic placed her cup down "I have made the agreement towards your Romulan friends that they will receive you back shortly, until then make use of this place as you seem fit" Vic said and stood up "I have to attend other business, so if you excuse me Lady Nevala" She gave a soft smile and walked away from the table as she stops and looked over her shoulder "Oh do note, be grateful, you are one of the very few that can live the tell that they spoke with me. Others are...mm how to put it, not so lucky?" She smiled again and walked away.

A shiver went down Nevala's spine. She felt she had just dealt with someone extremely dangerous. Probably she should have been more humble, but being held captive made her rebel. She had rebelled all her live, maybe she should change this habit as a diplomat. Despite the beauty of this place, Nevala was not sure if she could enjoy it as she did the recent days. She felt unsafe, although she was sure that if Vic would have wanted to kill her, she would be dead already.
