Mission: Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: RSF Shiclove - Operation Center
Timeline: MD05 - 1455

The people were pushing their borders, pushing their creativity and going beyond their own control of space and time to achieve their utter and selfish goals. It was no secret that Starfleet present within the Raeya Sector Block was causing friction, the people felt under pressure by their weaponized ships and their propaganda of peace and exploration. Their rules, their idealism was but a mere belief that was created in the hopes to expand its borders and claim more lives into their order. People were raising up against this everlasting expansion, people were resisting the idealism of the Federation and their military arm. Captain Gardien leans on the table and took a deep breath as he looked at the table in front of him. The Shiclove holographic image was shown in a 3D image "Take it away Doctor Hofo...you had something new to show us?"

The man was nervous, good nervous? He could not tell really, but it was something at least "Yes, thank you Captain Gardien, it has been quite some years of investigation, researching and trying to gain new ways to travel the stars faster and stronger without the need to rely on resources that might deplete from our mines" He stated leaning back in his chair with a bit of a smug on his face "But what do we know is a few facts, we can't seem to be able traveling faster than warp 7. We are not gaining anything from the Federation as they seem to think that such technology is not yet ready for our kind, or we have submitted to their idealism utopia"

"Like hell, we will!" A smash came on the table from a female Faltean that was looking quite angry "This combined operation is to step forward into the bright to develop our planets into a brighter future!"

Hofo smiles softly at his fellow Faltean "Calm down miss Deddo, let me finish the story that leads to what this meeting is for" He said and it somehow did calm the woman as Deddo did relax a bit and looked curiously at him "The Shiclove is a beacon for our joint operation in space and trying to improve our research to get faster and stronger. But so far we have not gained much on the travel subject" Hofo sighs a bit "Our ships are not able to adapt to the new situation of warp that is engines can handle"

"So that was it?" Caroline spoke with a shrug "Years of work gone? Damn ...submitting to those blues might be our people salvation" She sighs and shrugs again at the idea to become a Federation member and do their bidding "I mean is there nothing else on the table that we can do?"

A silent dropped in the room as Hofo looked at Nottle, then to Lewis "There is a way to advance ourselves and be better then our adversaries" Silas spoke as he was looked upon as last "As the Lead of Operations Research Division, I have sparred with doctor Hofo and Lead Engineer Nottle on this subject for days if not months. There is but one option and I am saddened to say that I have approved it a few months ago without informing you captain Gardien"

He narrows his eyes and looked at the man "What did you do..."

"What has been done you mean, the Shiclove has been upgraded, dear Captain. By the agents of our government and help form certain shady figures that I can't name due to their contract with us. We have to obtain information about the Slipstream engine. Actually, we have received a junk of information a few days ago from our operative in the field" Hofo stated with a grin on his face now "With this technology we are able to roam the stars for ourselves without the consent of the Federation looking over our shoulders. We can defend our planets without being too late against a plausible invasion from the Sovereignty of Kahless"

With a shrug and a slam onto the table, Garnot looked at them "Why was I not informed about the adjustments of this, slipstream engine into my ship" He felt like being fooled by the very people that were supposed to be part of his cooperation in this joint endeavor.

Taking a deep breath as Isaiah looked at the noble Captain "Because you want to keep onto protocols and laws that might endanger the operation we are trying to achieve here Captain. The engine is installed and we are tweaking the last information into it, it will be ready in two days" He spoke as that was the timeframe he needed to get this show on the road.

Everyone looked now at the Captain to give the final go on this sudden change of development in this operation. It was against his belief to do such a thing without the book to follow it, but maybe his age was getting to him. Maybe it was time to do something spontaneous and get the results done. Garnot nodded slowly in agreement to what has been said "Alright, I will agree with this. You are, as always, cunning in observing others mister Nottle. But I want checks on that machine all the time when we start our testing phase. Meeting closed..." With that, he could see the happy faces on them and wondered if he did right by agreeing with this.
