Mission: Mission 3: Diplomacy, what’s that?
Location: Captain's Office

There were many things that M'Mira did not understand about today. One, though, was how a Ferengi envoy was not on her schedule. The Ferengi were often unpredictable, but it was difficult to believe that the Ferengi would not want some sort of adoration and acknowledgment. Yet, they did not come in secret either. Something was off.

Also unusual was that the Ferengi were interested in her female nurse. To try and solve the mystery, she called her into the office, =^= Petty Officerrr Grrrace Hudson, would you please rrreporrrt to my office? =^= Based on the lag time on the "r"s, there was little doubt that the Commander was calling for her.

Grace was in Sickbay working light duties when M’Mira’s voice came over the comms. =/\= On my way Commander =/\= Heading out of Sickbay she headed to M’Mira’s office. Arriving outside the door she politely pressed the chime and waited for an answer.

M'Mira seated herself on top of her desk. Her tail languishing comfortably on top. It swished once, as if to answer before M'Mira's voice rang out. "Come in!"

Walking inside Grace smiled politely. “You wanted to see me Commander.”

"I did," M'Mira purred. "Worrrd has gotten back to me that ourrr new Ferrrengi Ambassador has exprrressed interrrest in you...."

“Yes ma’am“ Grace nodded as she took a seat in front of the desk and rested her hands on her bump. “Why the Ambassador has an interest in me escapes me. I didn’t think Ferengi found females outside of their kind of interest.” She paused. “It may be because I’m half Betazoid.”

"But you cannot rrread him," M'Mira responded. "But he does seem unusual. He had severrral women with him, did he not?"

Grace paused. “Now that you mention it, yes he did. For a Ferengi that is unusual.”

"Something is not sitting well in the pit of my stomach," M'Mira purred thoughtfully. "What werrre yourrr intentions with rrregarrrd to ourrrr Ferrrengi frrriend?"

“I don’t have any Ma’am” Grace sighed. “I was simply trying to keep relations with the Ferengi peaceful. I don’t have any intention to leave the station especially in my condition! Plus I’m a married woman.”

"The latterrr does not mean the forrrmerrr," M'Mira mused. "Perrrrhaps you should advise the Ferrrengi of that?"

Grace looked at M’Mira curiously. “Why would the Ferengi want me? They have no use for a pregnant woman."

"One thing that everrryone knows is that the Ferrrengi find uses forrr just about anything or anyone."

“Are you thinking the Ambassador wants to buy me or something?!” Grace looked at M’Mira concerned.

"Not as a slave, if that is what you mean," the Caitian replied with a small laugh and with a toothy smile.

“I am certainly not interested in being the lover of a Ferengi!” Grace cringed at the thought. “No thank you!”

M'Mira laughed at Grace's statement. "He would prrrobably only want you to perrrform oo-mox. But, we need to find out what is going on thrrrough his head and yourrr abilities arrre not going to be useful forrrr that."

Grace nodded. “Let’s hope we find that out soon, I have no wish to be anywhere near our Ferengi Ambassador, let alone spend time with him.”

"I see. Well, I think that I have everrrything that I need to know for now, Ms. Hudson. You are frrree to go."

Grace nodded. “Thank you Commander” She was glad to be heading home. Right now she just wanted to be back safe with Tristian.

M'Mira watched as the nurse left. Clearly, she was not going to be of assistance in the mission to discover the Ferengi's intentions.
