Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Romulan Embassy Building Site
Timeline: MD05 - 1145

The building site was not that busy yet, the weather was great and sunny. People were enjoying it and this new project would give the engineers some work to do that was new and refreshing. But no one knew what was going to happen, no one expected the day to end like this. A male figure appears from the forest side and looked up at the building side "Chief, everything is in place. We are already in their ranks and our men have reported having set the charges" Another figure appears behind him "Thanks Tricky, let's get this over with"

Nevala was directing workers to assemble the building's base. "No, you there, do not put that piece of concrete here." She looked at her PADD. "This is where the power conduit from the station will be connected. Your element should be placed there." She pointed at the right place. "Yes, there! There! Exactly there!" She shouted the last words angrily, until the worker, a Romulan man, obeyed.

At the same time, two young Romulans with disruptor rifles stood some yards away, being assigned as the bodyguards for Lady Nevala. They were in the uniforms of the House Guards of Clan S'Terion and just recently accepted into the guards. As this planet seemed peaceful and there was no sign of trouble they chatted.

Swiftly some people began to make their moves and planted their box with explosives in the right locations. Everything was going good and peaceful at the time. Chief had moved towards the side of the lady "Lady Nevala, the workers like to know where you like the boxes of section 14 be placed?" Chief replied with a smile on his face.

"Right there," Nevala pointed at an area without even looking at the man, "And handle with care!"

"Good" Chief said as he nodded to some as they made their move by stabbing a knife into the side of the Romulan guard's neck as Chief grabbed the woman by the neck and placed a knife to her side "Don't make rash choices madam, just smile and be certain of attention" The bodies dropped lifeless onto the floor.

Nevala gasped in shock, but she nodded. She watched the guards dropping to the ground, but she did not do anything. She could not do anything. Despite her military training years ago, she had never been trained for a situation like this. Probably her husband would have been able to act, but she was not. All she could do was to at least look as if she was keeping her composure.

The area was alerted as people with phasers started to shoot at the Romulan guards as Chief rose a device and pressed it as a phaser was shot at a container and it exploded. With a chain reaction, other crates also exploded around Nevala with Chief still holding her taking with the explosion it seems from the outside. Only did Nevala appear in a forest closeby surrounded by unknown people "Chief!" The Chief pushed Nevala into the arms of the men "Get her out of here, the stage is set"

"I..." Nevala started, but her voice failed for a moment before she could continue "I will not resist. Just allow me... me... to walk... follow... with dignity, okay?"

Pushing her forward a man smirks "Romulans and their dignity, give me a break" He spit before her feet as Chief looked at the direction of the smoke "Blindfold her..." He stated as the men looked at him "Sir?" He looked at them "She wants her dignity, well she aint getting it from us. Starfleet brought this hell upon your doorstep miss Ambassador, blindfold" The men nodded to him and started to blind Nevala.

"You have no idea who I am! I am the cousin of the director of the Tal Shiar! This planet will be bombed to ashes should you do me any harm!" Nevala did her best to resist.

The men looked a bit scared of what she was saying and back off as Chief growls and walks to her. With a swift move, he kicked her behind her the knees to let her drop to her knees and pulled a knife that placed against her neck "Listen to me very carefully, I don't care who you are, what family member you have at what position. Shut up or you will die right here right now" He growls a bit "Choice is yours..." Everyone looked at the scene that had developed.

"I want to live," Nevala said with all the pride she could show.

"Good, smart choice" He pushed her to the ground into the mud "Now stop with the whole 'I have honor' crap and listen to us" Chief said as he throws the knife next to her face into the ground "Or it might be your last few minutes" He stepped away and looked at his men "Move!" The men quickly picked up Nevala and blindfolded her.

Nevala did not say anything, but she swore to herself that these men would die, and all their families would die, and their friends and their families would also die. And she was very sure that Telhas would agree to that. She never experienced the wrath of a S'Terion, but the tales were that their anger had no limits. For the Tal Shiar, however, she knew what they were capable of.

The troops through the forest for good 30 minutes until they arrive at some hard roads where sounds of cars could be heard "Get in the car" A man said pushing his rifle in the back of Nevala and against the car. Chief walked onto the road and looked to the skies "It seems our decoy has worked...you are dead miss ambassador" Chief said cold "Now bring her to the location"

What a crazy kind of kidnapping is it if they want me considered dead? Or are they going to kill me publicly for propaganda? At least they will all die as soon as the Tal Shiar gets involved. Nevala had no idea how and why she would be a target for terrorists.

"What about that gray mist?!" A man said in fear as Chief looked at him "Its a rumor, don't worry about it...The Jades would get backfired eventually. But I bet they pissed off the wrong faction" Chief gets into the car and grabs a medkit and started to look for some painkillers.

Now what is gray mist? And why are they afraid of it? Nevala decided that she would have enough time to figure it out.

"Gray Mist is the least of our problem, this chick is what she tells she is then we are screwed and so is Faltan!" A man said behind the wheel as he shrugs about the whole situation. But Chief kept his calm and injects some meds into his leg "Ahhh this feels better" He was hit by the explosion and had beamed out to late.

That guy seems more clever than their leader. Maybe I can find a way to get their trust in the upcoming days or weeks. Who knows how long this will take. Nevala wondered if her husband would really buy the story of her death.

Chief smirks "Tal'shiar, Gray Mist or even Starfleet is not really our concern, face it if Tal'Shiar would rain down their bombs on us, then they get the Federation denounced and defend Faltan" Looking back at Nevala, still blindfolded "But seeing that the attack was done by Starfleet, I think that Faltan would stay save and the Federation has a problem" Chief laughed and looked forward "Oh the show is just starting, I like it already"

Now the fog started to lift and Nevala began to understand what this all was about. They are going to start a war between my people and the Federation. If they really think this will get the Federation off this planet and they could stay neutral, then they are stupid. Telhas would take this planet due to its strategic importance, regardless if they declare themselves neutral or not. But I better keep it for myself, not that they decide to kill me in this case. Although I guess they will kill me anyway once they are sure that nobody will search for me.

Seeing the mirror how Nevala was thinking away by simple facial movements, Chief smiled and leans back in his chair "Don't get smart miss, if you think your husband would be as smart as I would hopefully presume he is. Taking this planet would only end in a large diplomatic conflict with the Federation and the Raeya sector, it would cost your sweet husband head as the Empire is in no condition to battle two fronts" Chief looked outside seeing as they passed a lively street with children playing on the streets "But that makes a person wonder...you died, why keep you alive?" Chief tapped his finger on the side of the door "Because you are of value to us, people tend to pay big credits for you"

"Ah," Nevala said and nodded. "And if he finds out the truth and you already sold me somewhere else, what do you think will happen then?"

Rolling his eyes and signals the man next to Nevala as he slams into her side "Don't get cocky miss, I walked over bodies before and I don't mind making you pretty before I sell you" Chief shook his head and smirks.

Nevala coughed. "Maybe you should still better wait until the war you want really breaks out. I can assure you my husband can pay more than this entire planet's worth."

The man did not respond as his driver looked at him wondering why he did not take the offer "Maybe..." Chief placed a pistol to the template of the driver "Not a word..." The driver swallows his words and looked nervously at the road as Chief lowers his pistol "I know he can miss ambassador, but it won't work that way" Entering some dirt roads as the ride gets rough.

"You should still do yourself the favor and wait how things develop," Nevala said with a charming smile, "Once he is fighting the Federation, he may forget about how this came and even thank you for allowing him to start a war with a valid reason. And believe me, we can win a war against the Federation. Others may join us."

The car rides up and comes to a stop as Chief looked at the front "Sir?" The driver said as Chief exhaled his breath "Shit...I am sorry miss ambassador, but it seems we are going to separate our roads here" He rose his hands as the driver did the same thing. The blindfold gets taken off as the man next to Nevala rose his hands to. In front of the car was a set of a masked red-suited man with rifles aiming at the car and an armored car aiming at theirs.

"Too bad, I started to enjoy our talk," Nevala said with a polite smile.

"Miss ...well I will just call you Nevala" A man suited in a different uniform and a mask looked at her "We will be transporting you towards a better location, slave market is off the table with your reputation"

"Yet I have the feeling that I will stay a prisoner," Nevala replied and sighed, "Please, take lead and I follow." Now who are these guys? This is worse than Romulus has ever been. What is going on on this planet.

The man walks next to Nevala and opens the door of the car to let her sit into it. He looked back at Chief that had his hands still in the air and gave him a slight nod "Sir, what is this all about?" Chief lowers his hands and smiled slightly as the car moved out their sight "Everything is going as planned... let's move back to base" He said.
