Mission: Mission 5 - The Cold War Ends
Location: Promenade
Timeline: MD 01 - 1400

There was nothing more important in reporting than knowing your targets. There were so many new ones too, on Faltan Station. The Station had been poorly staffed for the last eight years. It was almost as if Starfleet had given up on doing anything about the Falteans. But now, now, something was up. Faltan Station was being staffed and Candy could smell a story in the making.

The problem with becoming an anchor was that now, she was widely recognized. Candy knew she was pretty. Men gawked at her. She had more than her share whenever she wanted but that also had a price, the price was recognition. So, getting reliable news on her own was difficult unless she went out on her own and disguised herself.

Thus, when Candy started looking for her target, Kaylee Serra, Candy decided that she would put on a disguise. Rather than her trademark blonde hair, she made herself into a redhead and twisted her hair up into a messy ponytail. To obscure her figure, she went with a binder and sports bra, as well as an oversized grey sweatshirt. For her bottoms, she kept to some black and grey stretch yoga pants that still highlighted her bottom half.

Absentmindedly, she started wandering around, pretending to look around when she "accidentally," bumped into Kaylee. Innocently and raising her pitch in her voice, she said, "Oh, my! I'm so sorry. I did not hurt you, did I?"

Kaylee after the briefing with the CO of the station, had decided to make her rounds of Faltan Station. It was something she did, when in new surroundings and especially on a new station. The accidental bumping into Kaylee, caused the newly appointed Chief Strategic Operations Officer to take a couple of steps back from the stranger who had bumped into her. After that experience with the spy on Poseidon Station, Kaylee was one to be more vigilant and also slightly suspicious as to 'accidental' bumping into someone.

Patting herself down, as if to check to see if there were any injuries (and make certain nothing was pickpocketed. Or placed upon her). Kaylee gave an affable smile. "Nope looks like I am in one piece. Are you okay?"

Vehemently and very un-Candy-like, Candy nodded her head, "Mmmhmm. Yep. I think I am." She patted her hips, as if checking herself. "This station is just so biiiiiggg," she exclaimed innocently. "I was not watching where I was going and I don't know anyone here...well, except my boyfriend." She giggled sweetly while turning her head away.

"Yes, it is big, and I haven't been here before. I am just exploring the station. I take it you are just getting the lay of the land as well? Also where is your boyfriend? Why isn't he with you currently? Kinda sad if your boyfriend isn't making first memories with you being on the station." Kaylee looked around to see if she could spot the woman's boyfriend.

"Oh, my boyfriend is on duty, so I'm just exploring," Candy replied with another shy giggle. She then made her eyes go wide. "Wait! You're an officer here, too. What do you do here, and how can you not know? Did you just arrive?"

"He is on duty. What is his name and what does he do on the station. Also do you have a position on the station as well?" Kaylee not giving out any information as to her position. Kaylee also was taking mental notes as to the woman she was talking to. "What is your name? I am Lieutenant Serra."

"My name is Holly...Holly O'Brien," she told Kaylee. "My boyfriend is Connor Turner. But me? I'm nobody special. I'm just here for a visit. My parents own a pub back on Earth and I was thinking maybe that I could open one here." She forced a light blush. "Do you have a first name, Lieutenant Serra? I don't know I could keep calling you 'Lieutenant' unless you're on duty. It just isn't natural to me."

"I see, Connor Turner. As for opening a pub, be certain that you fill out the paperwork and requisition a space. Always best to make certain that inspections are thoroughly done. As for my first name, for now it is Lieutenant, as I am on duty," she finished with a twinkle in her gray eyes. Hollie O'Brien. I will need to check this person out.

Suspicious.... That's fine. I'm just an innocent young lass who is visiting her boyfriend. "Oh, I will! Thank you for all of that information. Do you know who I would do that with, if I choose to have a place here? I mean, I should not bother you much longer if you're on duty."

"Once the paperwork is submitted, someone will be assigned to go over any other details that is needed, with you. That is from what I have read over the details of submitting a request for having a space for a business." Kaylee drew in a breath giving out a slight sigh. "Such is life from what I have heard in being part of a secretarial pool."

"But WHO do I submit it to?" Candy asked pressing, while blinking her eyes twice at the Lieutenant. "And where do I get this paperwork? Maybe, well, Lieutenant, do you think you could help me find the person?" And keep talking and tell me more about yourself. You look too similar to me. Connor might like you.

"Here, what you do is go on the computer and look up the paperwork that is needed, or in fact, you can ask your boyfriend Connor to help you out in filling out the paperwork and then it gets submitted, to Civilian Affairs which help runs the station. Otherwise, someone in the pool will send the request up the line. It's all a matter of protocol. Sorry I can't make things get any easier for dealing with the paperwork. I am just a cog in the works of the station." Kaylee gave a wry smile.

Candy pouted further. Doesn't she want to try and be friends? She's way too professional. Blech! "Well, I guess I should set about doing that at some point if we decide this is the place to set up the pub. So, did you want to explore together or are you too busy on duty?" Candy offered hopefully. Last ditch effort.

Kaylee thought for a moment at the woman's request. She seems to be a bit too friendly. That might be her nature just something isn't sitting right with me where she is concerned. I do have a name I can go check with at this moment, now. "Actually, I need to go report back in. I've used up my break time." She gave a smile filled with regret. "Perhaps we'll run into each other at a later date. Despite how large this station is."

"Alright," Candy replied with a light pout. "I had hoped for some company, but I do understand. Work must come first." She finally looked down and to the right. "Thank you for your assistance."

"You are welcome, and I do hope that you will be able to set up your bar after the paperwork request is done. Have a lovely day." With that Kaylee turned on her heel and went back the way she had come from. She had someone she needed to speak to, and that was a Lieutenant Turner.
