Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Atuginia - Church
Timeline: MD08 - 2230

Fields > Starts to head off towards the church, eyes scanning the entire area as she went. The church barely looked like it survived at all.

When approaching closer towards the church, Rona could see how much damage was done to it. Heretic and disbelief were written on the church tower....it were clear that the Sacred Bones were behind this damage. The best bet however for spider nest and set up her sniper rifle was that tower.

Fields > Takes a deep breath and looks up the tower. "Best place," she stated quietly and looked for the fastest and safest way up.

When getting towards the tower, Rona hears nothing and with some peace in mind, she enters the tower. The top of the tower was damaged. so there only three floors that she could explore.

Church > Climbing, Sabine stopped and looked around one of the spots she could walk safely. She stepped through looking to see if she would be high enough here to be of any use. There were no windows that she could find, and she made her way back to the staircase.

On the second floor, the rooms were damaged and the windows were strangely painted black. The only window that was there...was not in any good angle for a sniper nest. The only option was the top floor

Church > Watching her step, she made sure there was nothing of use before going back to the staircase. Sabine looked up, seeing one more floor she could climb up to and did just that, looking back down for a moment just in case someone else decided to come following.

Church > Steps out onto the top floor and looks around. "This'll do," she whispered and started her setup of her spider-nest quietly.

In the room she just set up her sniper rifle, she noticed that on the same spots were markings....when looking around there were also footsteps, fresh.

Church > Stops and looks around. Her eyes scanned the room. "Oh just great."

Church > Finishes her setup quickly and stands, taking a few steps around the room, running her hand carefully along the wall as she did.

ACTION Her hand would go over the wall and she would notice a deviation from the wall on a certain spot. Suddenly a blade appeared from out the wall and in the direction of Rona. A man in black appeared with a mask on, it was strange but familiar somehow.

Church > Her hand went for her own knife as she quickly backed away from the wall. She eyed the man in the mask carefully, staying on guard but not saying a word.

UnknownMan> Church> "So the rumors are true...another elite group on the surface of this desert world" He rose his knife and got into combat stand

Church > Pulling her knife out, Sabine twisted it around in her fingers for a moment. "Not that it'll matter. You won't be able to tell anyone that you saw me." She went in low, keeping the knife away and lunging at the man in order to knock him down.

UnknownMan> Church> Moving to her direction as he avoids the first strike and he tried to hit her with his blade.

Church > Ducks away from the blade and lunges with her own blade straight for his side as she did so.

UnknownMan> Church> Took a few steps forward and looked over his shoulder "How..." Dropping to his knees as he dropped finally dead on the floor.

Church > Grins and pulls her blade out of his side, taking his as well for good measure, and went to check on her spider-nest.

Comm: =^= Spider you are in position?=^=

Church > Hearing the voice, she tapped the side of her own mask. =^= All set. =^= She didn't mention the dead body.

Church > Sabine got herself into position, listening carefully to make sure no other people in masks could sneak up on her.

In a far distant, through her scope she would see her team moving in the west direction. But that was the same direction where she now would see 3 guards standing there, heavy equip with weapons.

Church > Watches the group and sighs. "Damnit." =^= Three guards west, heavy all the way around. =^=

Comm: =^= Roger..get lock in your web, ready for feast=^=

Church > Hears the message but stays silent as she takes aim. She grinned as she did so. =^= Ready for feast =^=

Church > Double-checking her aim one last time, Sabine couldn't help but get a grin on her face and pulled the trigger, the shot going right though the guard's temple.

Church > Scans the area near the team with her sniper, seeing another go down but one was still standing and started firing at the team. "You have to be kidding me."

Church > Fires at the remaining guard, but then swears under her breath. "Damnit!" She'd missed.

Church > Takes a deep breath and sets back up again.

Church > Lets out a breath as the guard went down.

ACTION Suddenly some sounds came from the outside...it would not be clear in view but it seems the unknown man had some friends that returned to their location. Two unknown personnel returned towards the church.

Church > Steps away from the sniper position and looks down as she hears the sound. "That's not good," she whispered as she double-checked everything that was with her.

The two man moved silently into the church, however, the cracking sounds of the floor made it clear. They were inside

Church > Looks back over her shoulder, hearing the floor cracking downstairs. "So much for a discreet exit that way." She pulled out her pistol and kept it tightly in one hand, trying to find a shadow to slink into.

Church > Listens to the men and lets out a heavy sigh. She gripped her pistol tighter and went out to the staircase, looking down. She knew the stairs would make a sound the moment she stepped on them, but it didn't matter. She made her way down, making it back to the 2nd floor before taking aim at one of the two men, firing.

ACTION One of the men took the hit and dropped down to the floor as the other took aim and fired back at Rona

Church > Sabine tried to duck away, hearing the shot coming from the second man.

ACTION The burst of firing shots hits Rona onto her body and she is thrown backward.

Church > Falls back onto the area on the 2nd floor, landing hard. She felt where the shot had hit but didn't sit up: her upper right leg.

UnknownEnemy> Church> Moving sideways and taking cover aiming at the stairs

Church > Sits up and listens carefully, shifting and aiming down towards where the sound of the man was coming from, firing again.
