Hobbies & Interests | -Reading. He is a voracious reader. He will read any genre but prefers the classics and mysteries. -Doodling -Board Games -Fishing (Lucy hates it, so he pretends he doesn't like it) |
Personal History | Roger was born in the Earth region of Scotland in 2335. From there, his parents moved the family to England. Both were teachers. He led a mostly normal childhood, attending the West London School for Boys through all years of school. There, he played both rugby and football (soccer). He had a small group of friends-he's always been a bit of a nerd-and only two girlfriends ever. After high school, he went to Oxford School of Medicine, specializing in Trauma surgery and practical medicine (General medicine). He did private medical work for a bit, but felt unsettled. A friend, Jamie Taylor, was in the Fleet and suggested he join as a Civilian when the Dominion War broke out in the Betazed colonies. He did so. This experience taught him to think on his feet, and also utilize his trauma surgery skills. He also made a lot of new friends and connections, which convinced him to join the Fleet and continue to travel among the stars. After his tour with the Civil Medical Corps, he joined the Academy at age 25. There, he met his future wife, Lucy Tyler, a fellow Cadet in the Counseling program, who is four years younger than he (she took a year off between high school and the Academy due to a man. It didn't work out). They married two years after graduation. Five years ago, they had their first daughter, born aboard a Starship, and then three years later, had their second daughter. His children are his whole world. |
