| General Overview | Callan can be described as somewhat reserved and fairly unassuming, but by no means unsociable, and can even be quite charming. He is observant and astute, and maintains a high level of situational awareness, particularly when operating on the field. He is generally reliable and can be counted upon to produce results, but continues to be the process of adjusting to his new career as an intelligence specialist. As a fairly young man only just maturing into the professional world, Callan can display a certain level of impetuosity, pushing on with reckless actions that often end in regret. Such conduct rarely compromises his work, but has unfortunately been pervasive in some of his interactions with other people, becoming a source of friction between him and a few of his previous colleagues. |

| Personal History | Callan Armidale was born in Bendigo, an inland city located in the geographical centre of the Australian state of Victoria. He is the youngest child of David Armidale and Jennifer Eckhart - his father a restaurant manager, and his mother a general practitioner. He has an older sister, Lauren. The family moved to Sydney soon after Callan was born, so that his father could expand his work to include business consulting. The boy grew up in a fairly wealthy household, and enjoyed a happy childhood. He thrived at school and became quite well-rounded both academically and athletically, the latter of which was pursued over the years as a member of the school's field lacrosse team. Living in a beachside community also meant developing an enthusiasm for a variety of water sports. Callan went on to spend several years studying psychology and sociology at the University of New South Wales, and after graduation joined the Federal Department of Immigration, undergoing training to serve as a border protection officer. He served the agency for two years before his recent recruitment by Starfleet Intelligence. His most recent assignment prior to Faltan Station was the USS Archimedes, where he met and subsequently entered into a relationship with fellow intelligence staffer Jonah Masters. Their time on the Archimedes was short due to career change on Masters' part, and after their engagement they were fortunate enough to transfer together to Faltan Station. |
