| Personal History | Oliver was the middle child of Tyler and Myral Radrick and was born on Radrick's Station of Wonderment. Oliver's father did not believe in Earths current currency system and decided to leave it for a system that favored profits. So he chartered a ship then piloted by his future wife Myral to an abandoned station that was currently looking for someone to operate it. Having partnered with a Ferengi rich in latinum he was able to obtain the position and through some shady dealings was able to eventally own the station. Oliver was often ignored by his parents, not that they where mean or unkind to him they just where very busy with the station at all times. Oliver would always be left to his own devices. He would often sneek into Slivers which was the bar located on the station and spend most of his time listening to the Starfleet officers and traders that came in and out of the station. When he was 14 years old he became fasinated with the transporter system and began working with an Andorian women whom was in charge of the operations. She would let him assist in repairs and even sometimes operate the controls, of course only when transporting supplies. At 16 he had a very good handle on the transporter operations and systems. One day his brother and sister came to him about transporting them of the station to a freighter with there friends waiting for them. Oliver growing up was never really close with them and they only came to him when they needed something. Oliver jumped at the chance but hesitated because he knew his father had not approved of them leaving the station and he had never done an unsupervised transport before, but he did not want to give up the chance so he did it any way. The results where horrible and resulted in the death of his sister and the disfigurement of his brother. At 17 he left the station and joined StarFleet and took up Transporter studies and aspired to ensure that the transporter technologies where advanced and that regulations for transporter operations where enforced. At 19 he meet his wife on a Halo Deck Simulation and they where married for only 1 year before here death in a shuttle accident. At the age of 21 he graduated from Starfleet and got his first posting in transporter operations. He is know 30 years old and making his way to the new position at Faltan to continue his career and dream operating and maintaining efficient transporters. |
