| Personal History | Natalia was born in Boston on the North American continent of Earth to an Italian immigrant who owned a series of restaurants and a sommelier from Hong Kong. Her parents met when her father was purchasing wine for his restaurants. Her parents were always busy, so Natalia mostly tagged along with her brother who increasingly protected her as they both went through puberty. Likewise, Natalia protected her brother from rotten girls. Growing up in the North End of Boston was like Little Italy with a plethora of education in the metropolitan area. Yet, her brother wanted to join the service because he wasn't a rich kid (although he really was) who wanted to go on an adventure and see the galaxy. When Natalia graduated, she chose the same path. In hindsight, Natalia isn't sure why she joined Starfleet. Following in her brother's footsteps is a good reason (and true), yet Natalia also wanted to live life on her own to prove that she was truly independent and didn't need protecting. She also enjoys travelling and what better way to see the universe than Starfleet? At the Academy, making friends was hit and miss for Natalia, not to mention she kept having to swat away boys and even some girls who were only interested in her looks. Yet Natalia was always more than a pretty lady. She was good at watching people and reading the subtle body language. Combining her ability to analyze a situation with her excellent comprehension and thirst for knowledge, she excelled at strategy, game theory, and history at the Academy, so she was a natural fit as an Intelligence Analyst. |
