Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: An area near the station, but in full view of the planet.
Timeline: MD08 - 2400

While the commander and the colonel were hashing out the station issue, Damon took several members of his security staff out for live target practice. He had the computer create human sized targets and to disperse them randomly across the area.

The exercise could be seen from the city....which he did to show anyone watching, that Starfleet wasn't to be messed with.

He divided the group into snipers and ground assault. While the snipers practiced long range shooting, the ground assualt group practiced approaching and eliminating targets.

His tricoder beeped, informing him that sensors had picked up a group of non-fedearation personnel observing the practice from a distance. He smiled when the sensors reported that...he wanted them to see how effectient the team worked.

After an hour of practicing, he gathered the teams together and went over the computer results of the training. "Computer, log results, and run battle simuation city."

The area was replaced with several buildings, which looked eerily like many of the buildings on the planet. "Hostage rescue. You'll break up into squads, and storm the buildings looking for diplomates taken by hostiles. The hostiles are armed and are considered dangerous. Lethal force is approved. No captives required. Understood?" The officers acknowledge with a loud "Yes Sir!"

"Begin!" The teams approached the buildings, with the snipers neutralizing any armed guards outside on patrol. The others, stormed the building, using explosives on locked doors, and made entry. Enemy forces were quickly disposed of. The teams made room by room, and floor by floor until the diplomates were located and rescued.

When the exercise was over, the computer reported that only 1 hostage was killed, by enemy fire, and 2 guards were killed.

After a quick debriefing, the teams were dismissed.

He hoped that this demonstration would prove to the group watching that they were not to even think about attacking us again, or else the wraith of vengence would be swift and overpowering.
