Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Captain's Penthouse
Timeline: MD09 - 1100

Refelian had been moved to his quarters and Mint had brought Laddie back to be with his master. Though, since Refelian was still recuperating, Mint stopped in occasionally to walk and feed the poor pup. This time, however, she'd stopped to inspect the handiwork of the team she sent to get the place up to snuff and found they'd left the kitchen and living spaces in complete disarray. 'I'm going to have words with them,' she thought, frowning as she ran a hand over the counters and inspected her black fingers. "This won't do at all," she muttered.

After peeking in to see that Refelian was fast asleep, Laddie at his side, Mint began cleaning. She turned on some music at low volume and eventually started dancing through the living space as she ran a damp cloth over the hard surfaces. She didn't notice when Laddie came strolling into the room and curled up on his bed. Nor did she notice a figure standing in the doorway. Instead, she did a pirouette, dipped the cloth into her bucket, rang it out and spun back to the sideboard she was working on, humming along with the music as she did.

Harry slowly stirred, his mouth was dry from sleeping on his back with his mouth open. He slowly and gingerly sat up, he gave Laddie a stroke on his head and a small smile grew on his face. He reached to his bedside cabinet and picked up the glass of water which he had assumed Mint had left for him. She had been excellent, as a first officer and as a friend during this whole situation. Laddie seemed taken with her too which was always comforting as he was always a good judge of character, well apart from the Caitian Chief Operations Officer, who he really wasn't keen on. Harry assumed it was the old Cat and Dog rivalry. He faintly heard music playing his living area. He slowly rose to his feet and grabbed his night shirt before hobbling towards the living area.

He saw his first officer dancing around his living area, cleaning and spinning to the music. “Is there no end to your talents, Commander?” He said croakily with a small smile.

Mint nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of Refelian's voice. "Captain, don't sneak up on a girl like that!" She turned to face him, grin evidence that she was joking with him. "Aaaand, while I have many talents, there is an end to them. But I'm not telling you what those other talents are, you'll have to figure that out on your own." She dropped the rag into the bucket and moved to stand in front of him. "You should be in bed, though, you need to rest, continue to heal." She gently pushed him back toward the bed. "Go on, back to bed with you!"

“I feel the need to stretch my legs plus my stomach thinks my throat as been cut.” He said as he continued to move gingerly towards the replicator. “What are you doing any way?”

"Well," Mint moved out of the way, relenting. "I came to walk and feed Laddie for you, then I noticed that the team I assigned to ready your quarters for you didn't complete the job. So, I was cleaning and repairing your kitchen and living space. How are you feeling?"

“No need to worry about that. That’s why I’ve been staying in my office, the rest of the Station comes first. But thank you for the gesture. Would you believe me if I told you I felt rough?” He said with a chuckle. He ordered a tuna sandwich then looked at Mint. “Can I get you anything?”

"Well, now that you're not working, you are staying in your quarters and out of my hair," Mint teased. "And no, I don't believe you, you're understating how you feel, I think." She moved over to the counter and leaned her back against it. "I would love a cheese scone with butter and a black tea with half an ounce of milk, please."

Refelian nodded and ordered the food. “I’m healing.” Harry insisted as he slowly brought the Commander’s food over to her. “I don’t believe I’ve ever been in your hair.” He stated with a smirk.

Mint shook her head and laughed. "No, more I've been in yours," she took the tea and plate with her scone from him and set them on the counter. "For now, though, I will continue to be annoying. You need to take it easy and rest, Laddie needs taking care of, and this situation with the Faltans..." she trailed off and growled.

Harry sighed when the Faltan’s was mentioned. “I’ve been keeping up to date with what’s going. I’ll be back in uniform tomorrow, I can’t expect you to handle everything. Although I’ve been very impressed with how you’ve handled yourself. Starfleet definitely sent me a damn good Officer.”

"No," Mint said simply. "You'll do no such thing. Don't make me steal all your uniforms and make sure your food replicator is the only thing working in this suite. Work can wait, I can handle this situation. You shall not return to work until you are one hundred percent," she narrowed her eyes slightly, but had a huge smirk on her face. "And I will tie you up if I have to, even if you like that sort of thing."

“Abigail, that could be months. We don’t have months, the situation needs me to be there. I’ll stay in Command and Control but I will be returning to some sort of duty.” Harry insisted.

Mint frowned and picked at her scone for a moment before responding. "Harry, you are stubborn," she smiled at him. "Fine, you can stay in Ops. I have Haversford keeping marines about for added security, so I know you'll be safe there. However," she paused and smirked at him, "try to do too much and I'll personally escort you back here."

“I thought you were my first officer not my mother.” Harry replied with a smirk.

"Oh, you want me to be your mother?" She teased, placing her plate and cup in the replicator to be recycled. Then the beat of the music picked up and she couldn't help but dance. She caught the look on Refelian's face and tossed her head back, laughing. This was the most relaxed she'd felt since this whole mess started. "You know what will help those stiff muscles?" She grabbed his hands and pulled gently, "some dance lessons!"

Harry finished his sandwich, “I really don’t think so.” He said as he struggled back to his feet. “I think I’ll head back to bed and read some reports. Leave the dancing to the young folk. You remind me of my daughter, she generally prances around to silly music.”

"You're no fun," she pouted playfully, then laughed. She was about to say something else when her comm badge chirped. =/\= Commander Prescott? I know you're off duty now, but we need some direction on the Intel hub repairs. =/\= A young sounding voice said and Mint's happiness washed away. She growled before tapping her badge and responding. =/\= Did you forget we have a Chief Engineer now? Direct your inquiries to Lieutenant Tendai. =/\= She slapped her badge again, ending the conversation. "Urrrg... why do I wear this thing off duty?" she grumbled, angrily running her hands through her hair, leaving it a mess tossed over one shoulder.

"I just can't get away from these relentless questions," she picked up their plates and cleaned off the counter as she spoke. "Every minute of every day. It's like these people can't think for themselves," she fumed, dropping the plates in the replicator's bin to be recycled. Then she spun around, and her face softened when she looked at Refelian. "Sorry, boss..." she mumbled then sighed. "You probably get it a lot too. Come on, lets get you back to bed," she moved closer, hooking her arm through his to help steady him, keeping her head down, and gently guiding him back into the bedroom. "You need to rest, not the hotheadedness of your exoh," she looked up, giving him a tired smile, though the frustration could still be seen in her eyes. She searched his face for any sign of reaction, hoping she hadn't disappointed him with her behaviour. Eventually she settled on looking into his eyes for any emotion.

“The questions are to be expected, the Station is still new to everyone. Strangely enough I don’t ever tire of answering them, I actually quite enjoy it. Makes me feel part of the Station’s inner works rather than just being ’that fella who sits in an office all day’.” Harry said with a smile. “Each to there own, but I’m very proud of how you’ve handled yourself and the Station during this difficult time. I’ve heard good things about what you’ve done.”

Mint blushed at the compliment and turned away from Refelian so he wouldn't see the awful colour of brown she turned when doing so. "I... thank you, Harry," the words were practically whispered. "My parents are the only people to ever tell me they're proud of me," she admitted, looking at the ground as she helped him back to his bed. After she helped him sit on the edge of the bed, she finally turned her face to him, concern evident despite the ruddy brown colour of her cheeks. "Can I get you anything, Harry? Glass of water? Fluffed pillow? Masseuse?"

“I’m fine Abigail, please don’t waste your free time in here doing my chores. Enjoy yourself a little. Go to that new bar the Tellarite has opened.” Harry suggested.

Mint practically hissed. "And give money to that arse? No thank you! I'd rather scrub the floors of the mess hall with a toothbrush! Do you know that... that idiot had the audacity to storm into your office and yell at me because the station's lockdown post embassy explosion interrupted his cargo from getting here and he is submitting for lost revenue to Starfleet for it?" She angrily ran her hands through her hair, messing it up, and paced. "I had to threaten to confiscate his goods and lock him in the brig to get him out of the office."

Harry chuckled, “He is trying to make a living but has been dragged into this situation, you can’t blame him really.” Harry said before wincing a little, a sharp sudden shooting pain through his spine made him yelp a little.

Mint came back to his side, kneeling in front of him. "Are you ok?" her brows knit with concern and her hand rested gently on his lower arm.

“I’m fine.” He said after a moment as the pain eased. “My body is still healing and telling me when I’m over doing it. It seems it doesn’t like me chuckling.”

"And this is why I don't want you to return to work yet," she shook her head. "You need some more rest before you come back. Ease yourself into the normal everyday routines."

“Because laying in bed after being shot is part of the every day routine.” He sighed. “I can’t wait to feel normal again.”

"It can be part of an every day routine," Mint laughed, sitting back on her haunches and shrugged. "You will feel normal again soon, you just have to ease yourself back into it. Do a little more each day. If you throw yourself into it you could keep yourself on your back longer."

“No heavy exercise for me for a while. To bad I suppose, I like getting the heart pumping.” Refelian commented.

Mint laughed, she wanted to say something, but wasn't sure how well she'd get away with it. Finally, unable to hold back any longer she finally let it out. "There are many ways to get your heart pumping," she tried to keep her face neutral but a slight smirk crept across her face.

“Indeed there is,” Harry said with a smirk. He knew exactly what the Commander was talking about. “To bad there’s no one about to do such a thing with.”

Mint acted offended. "Well," she said haughtily and stood up. "I know when I'm not wanted," she teased and took a step toward the door, though stayed close to the bed. "All this care I lavish on you, and this is the treatment I get," she shook her head and pouted playfully.

Harry frowned, “Are flirting with me, Commander?” Half a smile grow on his face.

"Why would I do that?" Mint asked innocently. She didn't know why she was flirting with him, but it just seemed like the fun thing to do. Besides, they could both use a stress reliever. "Better question, do you want me to?"

“I wouldn’t say no.” He said with a cheeky wonky.

Mint smiled sweetly at him before settling herself on the side of the bed. "Well then, why don't I give you a massage, loosen up those stiff muscles?" She motioned for him to turn and lay down on his stomach. "Off with the shirt too, fabric just gets in the way." Her grin was mischievous.

Harry did as he was told and took of his shirt. He was under Mint’s spell and he kinda liked it.

Mint stretched her hands, warmed them up a bit, then ran them lightly over Harry's back. On the way back down toward his hips, she pressed in slightly, feeling for knots or tense spots. Carefully, and smoothly, she ran her hands over tense areas, kneading the tense areas, pressing on the knots to release them. "Sorry," she said softly when Harry grunted in pain. "But I need to loosen up these knots," she continued working on his back. Though, finding it hard to massage from the side, she moved so she was straddling his hips.

Once she'd finished with his back, she moved up slightly to straddle his lower back, then her hands ran over his shoulders and down his arms, working out the tense muscles there. As she did, she was forced to lean forward in order to not put too much pressure on his back. Her hair, which had been simply tied back, fell over her shoulder and lightly brushed his back as she moved on to his neck. Her hands on his shoulders at the base of his neck, she leaned forward and spoke softly into his ear. "How much of a massage do you want? Just back and shoulders or full body?"

“How about this?” He said before pulling Mint towards him and kissing her lips. The taste of her lipstick was intoxicating as he passionately kissed her.

Though surprised, Mint returned the kiss immediately, melting into him as she was pulled down beside him on the bed. Her fingers raked through his hair, tugging lightly here and there. She felt her pulse quicken, blood rushed to her head, and elsewhere. It had been a long time since she'd been kissed quite so passionately.

Harry’s hands began to explore Mint’s body as he helped take the layers of her uniform off. Only stopping briefly for air before kissing again. It had been a long time since he felt like this but he was loving the attention.

As uniform parts went flying, Mint's ferocity picked up. The anger and frustration she felt with the current situation fueled her passion. Her nails raked across Harry's chest, arms and upper back just hard enough to cause temporary lines. She pushed him onto his back, kissing him passionately, and moved so she was sitting straddle over him. She ran her hands down his chest and abdomen, then back up, as she began kissing and nipping at his neck.

Harry couldn’t help but squeeze Mints ass as she nibbled his neck. He desperately wanted to fully connect with her. He rolled her over so he was on top. He kissed her again as she pulled the covers over them.

Pain, what pain.

"Harry..." his name came out in a mix of lustfulness and concern as Mint noted the expression on his face. She gently pushed him down to the bed. "We can stop...... or I can be on top?" She murmured, kissing whatever parts of his body she could.

With a smirk, he laid on his back. Allowing Mint to straddle him once again. “That’s am interesting tattoo.” He said as he caught his breath for a moment. His hands following the lines with his hands up to her breast.

Mint sighed as his hands ran up her side. "Mmm...yeah," she laughed as his fingers traced the line under her breast. The tickling feeling intensified and she wiggled trying to get away. The reaction she received to the wiggles gave her a mischievous grin. She moved her hips and watched his expression.

An hour later, Mint sighed as she settled herself down beside him, practically purring with happiness. "Well," she said tracing a line up his chest, "that was..." she grinned devilishly, "not enough...but I'll give you a break..."

With a laugh Harry replied, “Because of my age or my injury?” A smirk on his face.

"Your injury," she smirked. "But if you want to go another round..." she trailed off, planting kisses up his arm, chest, and finally his neck.

“Another round sounds good to me.” He said with a laugh.
