Mission: Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: Captain’s Penthouse
Timeline: MD01 - 0700

Harry awoke to Laddie licking his face. This had become a regular orcurrance since he’d been shot. Part of him thought his best friend was checking on him to make sure he was ok. The other was he suspected the dog wanted some attention of his own. He couldn’t blame him really, he had been left out quite a bit. Mint had been great with him though and he’d taken to her well.

He slowly hauled himself up and gave Laddie a fuss before wiping the dog saliva from his face. He then padded over to his desk to download the daily reports and news bulletins while he moved towards the replicator and replicated Laddies favourite biscuits before placing the bowl on the floor for Laddie to enjoy. He then replicated two cups of coffee and padded back to the bedroom and placed one of the cups next to Mint before giving her a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Mmmm..." Mint rolled onto her back and stretched. Despite her fears of rumours and ruining her career, she couldn't help but come back to Harry. She was starting to feel like she was addicted to him, but she didn't care. He made her heart race, made her feel relaxed. As she took a sip of the coffee he'd brought her, she started to wonder if she was falling in love.

After a few sips of coffee and a minute of sitting on the side of the bed feeling groggy, Mint made her way into the bathroom for a shower. She came out twenty minutes later in a fresh uniform and snagged the coffee from the bedside table before walking up behind Harry and running a hand through his hair. "Anything interesting?" she asked, peering at the screen despite the pain it caused in her eyes.

“Nothing of major interest.” Harry replied as he took a sip of his own coffee. “Could you have gone back to your own quarters to shower if you were going to take so long?” He said with a smirk. “Some of us have a Station to run you know.”

She rolled her eyes and dragged her nails lightly down the back of his head. "You could have joined me if you needed one so badly," she teased leaning down and kissing him on the cheek. "Besides, I don't remember giving full command back to you yet."

She moved over to the replicator, deposited her mug and watched it dissolve before ordering another coffee. For some reason, she'd felt more tired these past few days despite getting adequate rest. A headache was also starting to form for the second day in a row. She moved to lean her bum on Refelian's desk, standing beside him and facing the wall behind him. "Speaking of the station," she said before yawning. "I'm pleased with how quickly Tendai and M'Mira have whipped this place into shape. I was starting to feel guilty for ignoring it after you were shot and I had all that crap to deal with."

“They have done an excellent job, I just wish they’d get on. Any ideas what went on with them?” Harry asked before turning off his console and picking up his coffee to have a sip, as he turned to face Mint.

"To be honest? I have no bloody idea," she shook her head. "I got a call from M'Mira about how Tendai had asked her to go to Tendai's office and then M'Mira started talking about how she didn't like her," she shrugged and rubbed her forehead. "I don't understand what's going on. I'll see if I can have a chat with M'Mira at some point today."

“Thank you, we need these two to get on. They work closely together, I don’t want friction between them.” Harry replied.

"You and me both," Mint rubbed her forehead at the spot of pain forming between her eyes. "M'Mira likes to talk and when she's angry about something or at someone, that's all I hear about. Aside from that, is there anything else you need me to do?"

“Take some time off after the briefing, you’ve earned it a few hours off after the past few weeks.” Harry replied with a smile. “Another headache?”

"Yeah," Mint gave him a shrug. "Probably just used my brain too much," she joked before turning toward him, leaning forward and giving him a kiss. "But before you chastise me, yes I'll go see the doctor about it.... eventually." She stretched and yawned. "I should probably get to my office before the pile of reports topples of my desk..."

Harry returned the kiss. “I know the feeling, I’m sure you left all of the paperwork to me while I was out of action. So kind of you!” He said sarcastically. “I’ll see you at the briefing.”

"I'll have you know, I only left the boring ones for you," Mint teased as she recycled her mug. "Which is roughly... all of it..." she laughed and made her way to the door. "I'm joking, your office is probably cleaner than you left it. I'll see you at the briefing." On her way out the door, she blew him a kiss.

As the doors slid closed Harry looked at Laddie, “Women.” He said with a roll of his eyes before he headed to have a shower himself.
