Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Captain’s Lounge, Command Deck, Falton Station
Timeline: MD07 - 0745

Javk bav Prol was furious, he had signed a contract with Starfleet in good faith and now they were stopping him from running his business and making a profit. He barged his way into Faltan Stations Command centre and past the protesting officers and walked into the Captain’s Lounge. “This is outrageous!” He said as he slammed down a PADD onto the desk in front of the first officer.

Mint slowly lowered her coffee and stared the man before her down. "Excuse me," she said finally, "but mind trying that again?" her tone was icy, barely containing the anger that boiled up at the intrusion. "And try to use your manners this time."

“Your extra security is delaying my business from opening! I didn’t sign a contract to be messed about nun Starfleet!” The Tellarite said angrily, purposely ignoring what the Starfleet Commander said.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Mint said sweetly, starting to stand up. "Would you rather I allow terrorists to come in and destroy this station and EVERYTHING in it?" She leaned forward so she was right in the Tellerite's face. "You'll put up with this extra security until the investigation into who shot Captain Refelian has been completed. Until then if you so much as put one toe out of line I'll have you thrown in the brig and your business assets seized and searched for illicit goods. Do I make myself clear?" her tone changed slowly from sweetness to deadly as she talked, her eyes narrowed, and her glare deepened. She was tired of dealing with little shits like this complaining about every tiny little thing that impeded upon their selfish little worlds. "I said Do I Make Myself Clear?"

“Why would your Captain being shot have to interfere with my stock arriving?!” Javk demanded, “Was he shot in the storage place? What it a bottle of Saurian brandy that shot him? NO! So why are delivery’s being delayed?” The Tellarite said aggressively.

"Because this is a Starfleet operation NOT a bloody commercial hub! No ships in or out until the investigation is complete," Mint growled. "Besides that there's also the investigation into the Romulan Ambassador's wife's death, and not to mention there are Romulan ships up there, just waiting for someone or something to shoot. Now, do you want to go explain to the Romulan Ambassador that your cargo is more important than investigating his wife's death? Do you want to explain to Starfleet that a potential terrorist is now on the loose because your ship coming in and leaving is more important that your own safety?"

“Young lady, I couldn’t care less about Starfleet or terrorists, I want my stock!!!” The Tellarite demanded as he brought his fist down onto the desk. “I didn’t sign up for Starfleet excuses!” He snarled, his mouth covered in saliva.

Mint actually started laughing at this. She was suddenly quite amused at the fact that this man thought being on a Starfleet base wouldn't come with issues caused by Starfleet. "Then you shouldn't have come to a Starfleet base. You can either have your precious cargo confiscated while you sit in the brig OR you can turn around, leave this office and behave like a civilized person. Your choice," she motioned to the guards that were standing in the doorway. "And you have five seconds to decide which it'll be."

“Fine! Have it your way! I’ll be claiming a refund from Starfleet for loss of earnings.” Javk shouted as he turned and stormed out of the office.

Mint rolled her eyes. "Good luck with that," she called as the Tellerite walked out of the office. She waved the guards to follow him out and then sat down behind the desk again. "Jerk..." she muttered to the empty room.
