Mission:
Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Faltan City, Governmental Archives/Orbit of Faltan
Timeline: MD08 - 2230
As the Faltan's government did not co-operate with the Tal Shiar, Colonel Sianna t'Matas decided to hack the archives. Unfortunately, this did not work and so they decided to rely on the old-fashioned way and send an infiltration team to copy all relevant files. They waited until only the minimal crew were present for the night shift in the governmental archives, which meant only a handful of guards, and beamed into an unoccupied area of the building. The team was dressed in dark suits and helmets with night vision. Everybody had a disruptor pistol and was ordered to set it on stun. They did not want to have casualties on the Faltan's side.
"This is One, the team gets ready for action. Two and Three, you hack into the surveillance and make sure nobody notices us. Four, you take cover and watch the main corridor for activity. Five and Six, you accompany me to the main computer core. Seven, you guard this area. Everybody understand?" The officer in charge waited for a moment and nodded. "Good. Now move!"
Everybody went to their destination and only 'Seven', a newly graduated agent, stayed where she was to cover the area for their return.
The room was dark and nobody, but the new agent, was there. But in the shadow, a figure moved behind the agent as it closes towards its target. The reaction of the presence was too late for the agent to noticed as a blade cuts into the throat "Shhhh dear... let me borrow your ID" The woman gasps for air as she saw in her dying moments the face of Vic that used her hand onto the agent's face as the agent drops to the floor. Vic looked at the door slowly her face started to change as if a mask was created and it formed into the agent's face.
Placing the earplug into her ear as Vic could now hear the agents communications as she aimed the Romulan disruptor at the dead woman and fires at the highest settings. Nothing was left of it when a report was demanded, Vic smiled and spoke "Evac is still secure sir"
"Good. Hold position, Seven."
Leaning against the wall as Vic looked at the time seeing they tried to get into the Faltan systems. It was all planned out, her team knew that they would come in counter-reaction towards the ambassador actions.
About one hour later, the teams assembled in the room. "Anything unusual, Seven?" the officer is known as 'One' asked.
"Nothing that is worth mentioning One" Vic replied and keeps herself calm as the other members gave their updates about their poor attempt to get information that had failed. At least had some of the criminal records, but it would turn out later that they were of no value.
'One' gave order to beam up to the ship. Once they were on board the D'Tarex, he dismissed the team for half an hour to prepare for debriefing. Most of the team, including 'One', went to the mess to get something to eat.
Vic followed the person that was named one and patch him on the shoulder "Sir, do I request noble to go towards sickbay, the air at Faltan has made me quite sick in my stomach. I might have been infected and like to check this up" Vic said showing symptoms of being sick.
"This mission is a total mess," 'One' bristled, "We should simply beat the shit out of their governor and see what she'll tell us then." He looked into the enquiring eyes of Vic. "Yes, permission granted. Go to sickbay. I'll expect you in the debriefing. Don't get late. Move!"
Nodding to him as she turned towards the corridor and started to walk towards it. It was only mere minutes before she arrived at the turbolift and pressed it to arrive. The door slides open seeing a sub lieutenant in it "Lieutenant, going to the bridge?" Vic stated "I will be going to the sickbay"
"No, I'm not going to the bridge. And it's not your business where I go," the sublieutenant replied. Two decks later, he left the turbolift and a full lieutenant entered the lift. "Uhlan," the woman greeted Vic.
Seeing the rank at his uniform and smiled softly "Lieutenant, going to the bridge today?" Vic looked at the door that closes "I will be going to the sickbay, not feeling great after that mission"
"Uhlan, let me give you an advice," the Lieutenant said, "do not ask those higher in rank stupid questions. And yes, to the bridge, like every day."
"Mmmm good" She placed herself at attention and with one sudden move, she placed a hidden dagger into the throat of the Lieutenant. Letting him gasp for air as she withdrawn her knife and placed his hand, before falling, onto the control "Bridge.." The voice of the dead Lieutenant came out of her mouth due her collar that changed the voice. Vic drops the body and steps forward with her hands behind her back waiting for the arrival.
The lift doors open as Vic walks into the bridge "My, my oh my....I missed this" Vic grins and gets stopped with a few Romulans aiming there pistols at her "Boys, please is this the way you want to greet a lady?"
"What the hell is going on here?" Colonel Sianna t'Matas barked as she jumped out the command chair and turned around just to face Vic. "Who are you?"
"My name?" Vic smiled and took a deep breath "Victoria Saracenti aka Fallen Angel" She looked at the woman and waited for the gold drop to fall "Remember that name?"
"Aim!" Sianna ordered as she drew her own disruptor pistol. "Any last words?"
Seeing all the pistols aimed at her as Vic remained calm and just smiled "Nevala e-T'Daran thu'S'Terion....if I pronounce right?" She looked a bit puzzled about the name "I'm not the greatest at your people choice of name..."
Sianna looked at her. "Yes, the dead one. Especially if you are involved. But I guess that Lord Telhas will want her corpse."
"Tsk tsk..." Vic shook her head "She is alive, well and in my opinion a bit too high standards?" Vic giggles at that "Then again...that won't be enough for you" Suddenly the sensor grid goes off as something was locking onto the ship. But the officer would not be able to get a lock back due to various jammers across Faltan "That would be my assistant, Phantom. Rings a bell? She has a damn good record to shoot from planet surface to planet orbit and not missing" Vic waited for the good Colonel to drop the whole act of being cool and finally spoke.
"Nice, really nice," Sianna said and nodded. "Helm, set course through Faltan, maximum warp. Power quantum singularity to one hundred and five per cent. Warp at my command." Then she turned back to Vic. "Phantom shoots, we jump to warp. Fair deal, isn't it? Even if warp fails, any idea what happens if a quantum singularity overheats near a planet? Black holes are quite interesting, aren't they? But you are not here for a threatening contest, are you? And you're not here to destroy the ship. If you want to capture my ship, bad idea, we would all die. But I guess that's not the reason either. You made me curious. Why are you here?"
"If you are thinking that I fear death, then you are gravely mistaken" Vic replied as she moves a bit forward with the guns pointed at her "If I wanted to destroy this ship, I would have...but you are sharp Colonel, I gave you that" She leans forward "I will give you Nevala in a week or so back, no harm is done what so ever...only demand. Tell that hot head of an ambassador to calm down and you and your ship go home to stay out to stay out of Raeya Block affairs" Leaning backward "I will offer this once...and only once" She narrowed her eyes as suddenly more sensor alerts go off.
"Sir we are being locked by more target lockers! I can't pinpoint them at all..." The Romulan replied with shock and fear in his eyes.
Vic looked calmly at the Colonel "I don't appear on Faltan within 5 minutes, then I go down with you....black hole or not...this ends right now" Vic did not break any emotion. Her acts in the Romulan Empire were unforgiven, brutal and well known to be seen as a serious threat. But Vic pointed out clearly that she did not have any interest in the Romulans and gave them a walk away card.
"I would love to leave this shitty place," Sianna replied just as calm as Vic had talked before. "But I cannot break my orders. Give me a day to locate Lord Telhas and talk some sense into him. And if this fails, at least talk to chairwoman Sonara T'Daran." She sighed. "And let us hope that T'Daran does not prefer to have a valid reason for invasion on Faltan. This is all I can offer. If I would leave now, without proper orders... well, you could just blow up my ship instead." She shrugged. "Would be the same result, only that I would at least destroy this place, too, if you would destroy my ship. So that's my offer. One day."
Letting that sink in as Vic nodded as an agreement to the Colonel "One day it is, I know how pride your people are on the aspects of military" Vic pointed out with a smirk and wanted to turn around as she heard the Colonel speak again.
"Oh, and one question," Sianna said curiously, "Why did you want to enrage the ambassador that much and now you're not happy with that? We all, including you, know how he would react to the abduction of his wife."
"Well, truth to be told I am happy to see this result. It is the exception of what was to come and I wanted to know what I was dealing with in regards to Telhas" Vic said looking at Sianna "I was right that he is a hot head...with connections" She gave a soft smile.
"Actually," Sianna grinned, "I would have expected to find a planet in ruins. My analysis gave me a ninety per cent probability that Lord Telhas would immediately attack this planet once he believes his wife was killed. It has been a surprising move that he did not."
Walking towards the turbolift as two officers followed her "The locks wil disappear when I arrive at the planet Colonel..." She turned around in the lift and looked at her "...hopefully not until next time for both our sakes" The lift closes and left the Romulan crew stunnend and amazed of what just happened. But it only showed how serious this area is in regards of threat level, somehing the Romulans really needed to be careful in their planning.
