The Icarus Incident Part 2

Mission: Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: RSF Shiclove - Bridge
Timeline: MD07 - 2047

The days passed by and Captain Gardien manage to push a nearby Starfleet vessel away, the USS Icarus. A Starfleet Defiant-class ship that had the nag to keep tabs on strange readings coming from the Shiclove. It made Garnot wonder how long it took before the Icarus would return and demanded answers from them "I need that engine online mister Nottle, I don't think I will have it in me to deal with Starfleet again if they warp in" He looked at his side from his command chair.

"Yes yes, I know...I can't handle another 'just checking' speech of that Lieutenant" Isaiah spoke with a growl and a shrug as he slides his fingers over the screen "The engine operations are within hold and starting up right now" He looked at the heat as he nodded to himself "The chambers are holding...everything looks green so far"

Caroline slides her finger over her console "Data input shows no deviation from the normal wave of energy patrons and it looks stable from my side as well" Looking at Hofo as he nodded to that "The area in the New Victoria system is perfect to do our testing, no one will interrupt us and if we need assistant Union can jump in" He spoke.

The Shiclove starts to rumble a bit around them as the energy began to collect from various points to adapt to its systems "Everything is holding, these sounds are normal. Helm can plot a course, but don't jump yet..." He looked at Deddo that slammed her console "What now..."

"It is the Icarus, they just jumped out of warp and are on an intercept course to our location" Deddo spoke with a growl "Can I not just fire on those bastards? Sticking their nose in other people business is getting annoying" She spoke various about the sudden arrival of the Starfleet vessel within their system.

A communication officer looked at Captain Gardien "They are hailing us with the message to shut down our engines at once"

Now they were demanding things from them? Garnot shrugs and looked at the helm "Is it course plotted?" The helm nodded to him as he took a deep breath and looked over his shoulder to Hofo and smiled "Begin your operations if we jump now then Starfleet can't do jack shit about it" He looked back at the screen.

Hofo nodded to him and looked at Caroline "Begin the count down and help mister Lewis with the calculations of the engines relays and chambers heat" He looked at his own screen seeing the build-up of the engines "We are good to go on my check" Caroline checked the data and nodded to herself "Console check here looks everything green" The final call came to Silas as he slides his fingers over the check-ups and sees a few orange lights "Not without risk...but we are ready"

"They are repeating the message and charing weapons sir" The communication officer spoke looking at the screen with the Icarus coming closer.

The Captain shrugs and shook his head "Power up and jump, we are not going to be delayed any further" The Shiclove began to charge up its engines as it prepared to make its jump, but something was off, the energy was getting unstable and systems were giving off alerts "Sir we are losing control over the systems, slipstream engine is not holding it" The Icarus locked onto the Shiclove "Sir they have locked onto us!" Garnot closed his eyes "Jump"

The helm was a bit uncertain as the Icarus fired its weapons and hits the Shiclove as the ship jumps into the slipstream, but the only thing that really happened was a huge explosion that pushed the Icarus away and powerless drifting into space.
