Mission:
Mission 3: Diplomacy, what’s that?
Location: Medical Hub
Chura needed an excuse to visit the medical hub and see the vast and well equipped medical facilities on Faltan Station. Starfleet has spared now expensive with the equipment they had installed. Of course, there was many reasons for this. To bring vast medical knowledge to region, help outer colonies and starships with any medical emergencies that might crop up and also offer aid to others who weren’t allied to the Federation but were in need. Either way, it was a massive position to take on but hearing the new chief medical officer had arrived and would no doubt be bugging him shortly for his medical, Ziq thought he’d take the bull by the horns and visit on his own accord.
After receiving directions to the CMO’s office and taking a slow walk talking in all the atmosphere and goings on within the medical hub. Once he arrived he pressed the chime and waited for permission to enter.
Lieutenant Hudson was busy checking the inventory that recently had arrived at Faltan Station. Starfleet had sent high priority medical supplies that needed proper storage. The large bay was separated into separate medical nodes of rooms, machines, and supplies. Tristian counted his self lucky. An advanced, large medical facility as the one on Faltan was not any easy post to achieve.
Having finished ensuring that supplies were in good standing, Tristian raised his gaze to see Lieutenant Commander Chura arrive in the Bay.
“Lieutenant Commander Chura.” Tristian gave a slight smile. He set down a few data Padds he was sorting. “Welcome to Sick Bay. A place you don’t want to be, however, if you are in ailing health, I am your friend.”
The Bolian grinned at the Doctor. “A pleasure to meet you.” He said as he approached the Doctor and offered his hand. “I hope I don’t require your services often but am definitely pleased you are here. I hope you’ve began to settle in nicely?” He asked.
“Just begun, Sir,” Tristian replied. “My Wife, Grace. Petty Officer 1st Class Hudson.” Inward he chuckled, feeling too formal. “She has also arrived, and has settled.”
“But enough about the Doctor. I believe you are in sickbay regarding the attention notice that your physical evaluation is due, as is from Starfleet medical fitness corps.
“This should not take long, 45 mins tops Lt. Commander.” He gestured for Lieutenant Commander Chura to take a seat on one of the nearest biobeds. The bright white lighting was simulating the outdoor atmosphere, calm.
Ziq did as instructed and hopped up onto the nearest biobed. “So, how are you and your wife finding life on the station?” The Bolian asked, making small talk.
Hudson grinned. “My Wife, Grace. She fits in nicely. Faltan Station has a lot of larger facilities for everything. It is a great place to serve Starfleet, Sir.” Hudson gave a slight nod.
“I’m guessing your not used to being in charge of a large medical facility like this. I think most independent colony’s you’d need to be a medical administrator with facilities.” Chura replied with a smile.
Hudson continued to scan the Bolian Male. “Sir, firstly, I’d like to run over your vital stats.” He checked the scans. “How is your Diet lately? Do you consume alcohol, how much do you consume if you do? How much exercise would you say you complete in a week, from mild walking to cardio jogging.”
“My diet is like most engineer’s, eat when you can, not the best I know. However, now I’ve moved from Engineering to Command I’m hopeful of changing that and eating more regularly. As for alcohol, I only drink socially and I’m not very social, I tend to find letting ones hair down difficult.” Chura replied with a shrug.
"How has your stress levels been?" Tristian frowned looking at Ziq's stats. "I am reading a slightly higher amino stress, oxidization." He showed Lt. Commander Chura on the panel nearest him.
"Perhaps you should learn to let your hair down more Commander." Tristian chuckled at the Man's humor. He liked him. Your sugar levels, your amino hibaise levels are perfect. Your in relatively good shape Mr. Chura." Dr. Hudson smiled.
"Your physical is complete, the scanning aspects. I believe you have a Bolian Doctor from your homeworld, I wonder I could relay those patient records of yours to my office. It would be a great insight for future physical tests Lieutenant Commander."
“Of course, however, I’ve not been to home for many many years. I’m not sure what good it’ll do.” Chura replied as he sat up and hopped down from the bio bed.
“Today your short visit, and initial scan and logging into the system., your updated Physical is replete with healthy body stats and chemical amino analysis is optimal.” He took his PADD and then raced his signature across the visual screen. Tristian handed the PADD his staff nearby. Staff would place the records of Lieutenant Commander Chura on Tristian’s office desk. He would later run down dictates of patients he had seen during that day.
“Thank you Lieutenant Commander, enjoy the rest of your day.” He offered a smile.
“And you, Doctor.” Ziq said with a polite nod before he left.
