Mission: Mission 3: Diplomacy, what’s that?
Location: M'Mira's Office

[ON:]

Lieutenant Hudson had finished in sickbay with a review of his nursing staff on contingencies with the Santa situation. He had been conferring with Station security on the matter of some skimmed bio memetic gel having gone missing. The samples were commandeered by Security, as the Officer had research and analysis to work on them.

Tristian decided to take a stroll down the main concourse, and find his way to Commander M'Mira's office. It was his sincere first time off since having had delivered two of the stations newest resident toddlers.

Wanting to check in with the station Commander for any information on the situation since Santa had last made his visit, professing that the station had indeed been bad, and would not be getting any celebrations this year. He was confused, as was the colony.

Having been told by her receptionist that the Commander was about finished her afternoon nap, he could enter. Walking in Hudson had baby Xander in his front baby holder, now of age that she was able enough to interact and gain from visual stimulation of the colony around her.

"Commander." Tristian had entered with a relaxed smile as usual. "I thought I would drop in and pay you a visit, see what has been going on with this stations breach of security. I hope you do not mind, I have brought baby Xander along for the walk." He gestured to his holstered chest.

M'Mira's heart instantly melted the moment she saw the toddler. "You brrrought yourrr cub!" She immediately strolled up to Xander and put her paws in front of her own eyes after making eye contact with Xander and said, "Peek a Boo! I see you!" after removing her hands.

Tristian had laughed whole heartedly. M'Mira certainly had a way with children. While she was a no nonsense commander, she certainly had a soft spot that was adorable to see.

She then turned to Tristian and in a frustrated growl, said, "It is a prrroblem. I was hoping that science, operrrations, orrr even engineerrring might have something forrr me by now, but nothing...." Simultaneously, M'Mira allowed her tail to sway into Xander's face to tease him playfully.

"I understand Commander." Tristian, looked at Baby Xander and his happiness, intrigue at the tail that was a new sensation. "I think Xander likes you Commodore!" He smiled.

"Maybe one day I'll have a cub of my own but forrr now, I'll enjoy being an aunt to this one."

"Ma'am. You are entrusted with the upmost care of our child, at any time we call upon you." He winked.

"I offer myself to any extra work that may help with the investigation, Ma'am." Hudson nodded. "Honestly, at the moment sick bay is a bit quiet, so I would welcome the extra tasking." He nodded.

M'Mira considered the offer. "Perrrhaps it might be wise to check on the Ferrrengi Ambassadorrr's health. Afterrr all, we would not want him to have a hearrrt attack frrrom being frrrightened from this Santa Claus...."

"That would be advisable. And, if the Ferengi Ambassador asks me about the situation? I can not comment." He added.

"Situation?" M'Mira replied with a toothy grin. "What situation?" She gave the doctor a wink.

"Exactly my thoughts, Ma'am." He grinned.
