Mission:
Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Jaifnard - Merchant convoy
Timeline: MD07 - 0632
The camp was quiet and light was slowly shimmering breaking the morning light into the sky. Almost everyone was sleeping, few were doing guard duties as Sarah was just awake, looking at a map as she smirks "Still awake Spider?" Hearing the sound from her side knowing the footsteps quite well.
She'd tried to get past, but it didn't work. Sabine let out a soft sigh. "You know I am. Can never get past you." She sat down nearby. "Just woke up, but I never sleep much, never do out here" She turned her golden eyes to Sarah.
Nodding towards her as she turned to place some attention towards her recruit "Well sleep is quite important, try to find your place in the team and don't worry I got your back" Sarah gave a soft smile "You have been with us for a few weeks now, how does it fit you so far?" Sarah said and looked around a bit in the camp that was still quiet.'This silent wont last long...'
Pushing her hair out of her face, she gave a shrug. "I do enjoy making things explode, maybe not so much the rain." Sabine looked around, listening out of instinct, before turning back. "No one understood when I was at the Academy. This right here is what I like to do. Get into the thick of things. My silence put them off, they never thought I'd be good at anything because I didn't talk. Well, I just didn't talk to them."
Nodding towards that as Sarah sat down now herself "I know what you mean, but hey I am on age and I have seen the dirty sides of every location in Beta Quadrant, even some in Alpha" She smiled and thought it over a few seconds letting her own memories get the better of her "Thought I am glad you pulled back from Skinner, that woman is above anyone in this team skill set. But having her here is alarming..." Sarah shrugs and looked at Rona "I got a job for you, we are heading today towards Atuginia, it's in the west from here and lots of nature and farmlands are found there"
"I wouldn't have touched Skinner, but she was a bit to close for comfort. Hell, the rain coming off her hands dripped down onto my face. I might have been able to knock her down but then I would have been done. It would have been a brief moment of surprise is all." Sabine's eyes went wide as she heard that there was a job for her. "Nature and farmlands. What've you got for me?"
Leaning backward "The information on Commandant Sesl was useful enough for me to make the call to investigate. It is his domain, but there are things going in that district that needs some eyes. I need someone to make into that city and find out what is going on" Sarah said looking at the skies "But be careful, Skinner is there as well. She functions as the personal guard of that Commandant, it is not her style to do such duties but still"
"Blend in then?" Sabine looked down at her hair. "Means taking the blue streaks out, as they don't blend well." She shrugged to that thought slightly, she was used to changing her hair. "Skinner being there puts me more than a little on edge. But being eyes, I can do that. I take it I'm not following her though? I might give myself away if I do that, and she's never even seen me before."
Sarah rose her hand as she looked at Rona "Don't, evac the area as smoothly as you can when you see her. I need details of the city we are arriving in. Nothing more or less" Sarah replied "There is another thing....there is some kind of religious festival going on there right now that takes a few days. There was mention of some group called Sacred Bones to be present at the area, they get support from the Red Guards and somehow try to grab influence in the area. If you do see them, get details about them as much as you can"
Sabine nodded. "So avoid Skinner at all costs, evac if I see her. And getting the lay of the land, I can handle that one." She thought for a moment, a sly grin starting to form on her face. "Do you care how I get details if I get the chance? Or is this just getting visual details?"
“Not really” Sarah replied as she looked at the map “I just need the information to know how to plan the next operation that we will be doing in that city” She points at the map “Got little to no time to get myself the information, so I can count on you to get it?”
"Give me a bit for a hair change, and I can leave right away. I'll get you what you need. You do what you need to get the team ready."
Nodding to That “Good, get your hair fixed and grab some clothes from the replicator unit that fits the bill to blend in” Sarah stated and stood up “Remember use your cover name while in the field”
Standing from where she was sitting, Sabine nodded. She got what she needed from the replicator and went to get ready. "Back to being Elise Shena."
