Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: CUS Meeka and Cardassian Embassy
Timeline: MD01 - 0900
Shuttle Deck, CUS Meeka
Rakena flitted about the room, mentally checking a list that no one else would care to know. The bulk of her Embassy staff had either arrived prior to the Ambassador or been beamed to the surface as the Ambassador prepared to depart.
She ushered her Aide Korin aboard a personnel shuttle, and then Gul Reskat begins him. “ Gentlemen, hurry. I don’t wish to be late to our first day.” The Ambassador has opted for a shuttle for herself and her senior staff, as well as a few personal affects she didn’t trust to Transport. “ I’m sure Consul Kreev is anxious for our company.” She smiled, knowing the man much preferred to work in solitude.
The shuttle doors locked as Raken seated herself in the main compartment with Korin. Gul Reskat had made his way to the Cockpit. A few moments passed and the shuttle was underway.
Rakena shifted in her seat and reached across to open the shutter on the viewport. “Beautiful.” She said in awe, as the planet came into view.
Korin raised and eyebrow at her. “ I suppose so.”
“If we’re to work well together Korin, you’ll need to stop being so uptight.” The older Cardassian smiled warmly.
Cardassian Embassy
The shuttle touched down on a clearly marked and pristine landing pad surrounded by transplanted Cardassian fauna. A tall, cynical looking Cardassian man in a pale blue high collared tunic stood waiting with a slew of Cardassian guards in military uniforms.
The shuttle doors opened and Rakena led her advisors from the craft.
“ Consul Kreev.” She called with a wave to the man in blue as she descended the steps from the shuttle. The engine hummed as it shutdown.
Kreev smiled an unsettling smile. “Madam Ambassador, welcome.” His hand were outstretched as the group approached him.
“Consul, thank you for coming to greet us.” He smiled warmly. “You remember Gul Reskat, and Undersecretary Korin.”
Kreev nodded to the men, then turned his focus to only the Military Officer.“Gul Reskat, your men have eagerly awaited your arrival.” He produced a data PADD. “ Your personnel manifest.”
Gul Reskat took the PADD and looked at it a moment before allowing his hand to snap back to his side.
Kreev turned back to the Ambassador. “ The complex is almost entirely complete.” He started gesturing for the group to follow. “ The finishes you requested are almost all installed ma’am.” The Consul them from the landing pad towards a ,rather impressive and unmistakably Cardassian, ‘U’ shaped building.
Placed at a central point and perhaps three floors up was a large view screen which played the casts from Cardassia. Rakena knew that each major room in the complex would be outfitted with a similar screen for viewing mandatory casts from her home world.
The space the occupied the center of the blueing unique shape was filled with a pointedly Cardassian garden, perfectly manicured with cobbled pathways.
“This garden, of course is the back of the Embassy complex.” Kreev said, as the trio behind him took in the garden spectacle.
Kreev pressed on and toward a rather large circular door, below the screen. “Welcome home.” He said, pushing the door open.
