Mission: Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: Captain’s Lounge, Command Deck, Faltan Station
Timeline: MD01 - 1800 Hours

Captain Refelian wanted in his office for the arrival of the new Cardassian Ambassador to the Raeya Sector Block. He didn’t have any other information apart from one was meant to be arriving today. A small team of Cardassian’s had arrived a week earlier to build the new embassy. They had been placed in the opposite end of the Station from the Romulan embassy. Last thing they wanted was the Cardassian’s and Romulans getting at it with each other.

The journey from the Embassy to Faltan Station was not a long one, but at Rakena’s age she was hardly in shape to walk the roads, nor would Gul Reskat or his team allow her to. She has opted to bring a transport vehicle, called a skimmer, from back home. Much like a car from Earth, the vehicle used electro magnets to hover just off the ground. Rakena’s was a matte black, and nearly six metres long.

The Ambassador sat in the back seat as her driver pulled up to Faltan Station. “Less security roaming around than I had assumed.” Rakena commented as the skimmer came to a halt.

The driver got out and rounded to open the Amabassdor’s door and opened it for her. He wore a Military uniform and stood ramrod straight as Rakena exited the skimmer.

The Ambassador patted him on the shoulder as she walked on. “Don’t go far, shouldn’t be more than a few minutes.” Her heels clicked on the pavement as she strode into the building. Approaching a Starfleet officer, Rakena clasped her hands. “ I’m here to see Captain Refelian.”

The officer seemed a bit taken aback. But nodded and led the way.

Refelian’s office doors swished open and in walked a junior officer followed by a Cardassian. “Ah, you must be our new Cardassian representative for the Raeya Sector.” Harry said as he stood from his chair and approached the ambassador. “Captain Horatio Refelian, Faltan Station’s Commanding Officer. A pleasure to meet you.” He said offering his hand for the Ambassador to shake.

Rakena reached out, but did not shake. “Rakena Kejaad.” She said proudly. “ A pleasure Captain, I’m sure.” She did not smile as she pulled her hand back and seated herself in the nearest seat.

“I hope you had a pleasant trip here, Ambassador?” Refelian asked as he waited for the Ambassador to sit down before taking a seat himself.

The Cardassian woman made direct eye contact with the Captain. “My trip was uneventful.” She sighed a tired sigh. “ I’ll take a tea if you’d care to offer.”

Harry smiled, “That was my next question. What variety of tea would you like, madam ambassador?” The Captain asked as he moved towards the replicator.

“Whatever that Federation replicator can do any justice to.” Rakena waves a ringed hand and crossed her legs at the knee.

“Tea, earl grey, hot. Coffee, black, hot.” Refelian ordered at the replicator, a few moments later the drinks appeared. Harry picked them up and headed back over to the Ambassador, handing her her tea. “I’m not a big tea drinker but I’ve heard the replicator does that justice.” He said with a smile.

Taken took the cup and brought it under her nose. The scent of Bergamot hit her palate and she set the cup aside, revolted. “Yes, I’m sure it’s lovely.” She said. The Cardassian folded her hand in her lap. “Now, was there something I could do for you Captain or can we dispense with the pleasantries?”

“I’m sorry?” Harry said almost chocking on his coffee, he wasn’t expecting the Ambassador to be so blunt. “I just thought I’d welcome you here to Faltan Station personally.”

With a jovial smile, Rakena uncrossed her legs and stood. “And so you have Captain, the pleasure is mine of course. Good Day.”

Abruptly and with haste surpassing her visible age, Rakena turned and departed the room.

Before the Captain could say anything the Ambassador was gone. “Was it something I said?” He asked as the door slid closed.
