Mission: Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: Romulan Embassy
Timeline: MD05 - 1400

Knight Commander Maiek had set security to the highest level, but made sure that controls of the Ambassadors and their entourage were limited as much as possible. This meant that the guests were just scanned briefly before they were led to the conference room on the third level. The room itself was secured to the maximum already from its construction. Placed inside the building, with no windows, transport inhibitors active, plus force fields around the room made it almost impossible to get anything in or out without approval.

The entire building was well-secured. 50 Remans were patrolling outside and inside the building, with more being on standby for quick response, if necessary. His Vulcan guards took the role of an honour guard to welcome the guests properly.

Telhas waited outside the room after he ensured that the catering would work as intended. However, after a discussion with Maiek, they decided that the waiters were not cleared to enter the room. Instead, the guests had to walk out of the room to pick up snacks and beverages. Also, the Embassy's guards were not allowed inside the conference room, with exception of Maiek.

Now Telhas waited for the first of his colleagues to arrive.

Malec Bane seemed a little intimidated by all the guards as he got out of his van. His two volunteers started to unpack the food and beverages from the back of the van, they handed a few stacked plates to him before they stood behind him waiting for him to lead the way into the Embassy.

The Trill restaurant/cafe owner slowly led his staff towards the entrance, he hoped Telhas remembered he was to cater for the meeting.

"Ah, the caterer. Lieutenant N'Veyan," Telhas turned to the Vulcan officer of his honour guards, "please show Mister Bane and his crew the way to the catering area on level three."

"Yes, Mylord," N'Veyan said and approached the restaurant owner. "Mister Bane, we will scan you and everything you bring in before we proceed. Once everything is in place you and your crew are subject to a full scan every time you leave and re-enter the building. Sorry, but it's for security. Please follow me when you are ready."

"Luckily we are carrying everything in the first time then. If anything goes wrong I brought replicator patterns for replacements." Malec replied as he followed the Lieutenant.

"Um,"

Malec glanced over his shoulder. "You did bring the patterns chip right?"

"I think it's still in the van."

Malec narrowed his eyes at his staff member and growled slightly. He turned and placed his plates on top of those the staff member carried. "You. Hold these. I'll get the chip." He said then turned back to the Lieutenant. "One moment. Lieutenant." Malec called and when N'Veyan stopped, he gestured to the van. "Back in a minute." He ran off back to the van cursing somewhat louder.

"Sorry," the staff member said to N'Veyan with an embarrassed expression.

"No problem," the Vulcan woman said with a brief smile, "Quick, please."

Minute later Malec returned holding a computer chip that looked modified to interface with Romulan systems.

Another vehicle was approaching, starfleet issue. It parked next to the van.

"Ready when you are Lieutenant," Malec said then glanced over his shoulder again to see Lieutenant Casshan Kincaid getting out of the new arrived vehicle. Every time I see him, he is handsome. He thought as a blush crossed Malec's face then he quickly focused on the catering as it had to get done before any more Ambassadors arrived. "Please Lieutenant."

N'Veyan called the turbolift and allowed all to enter before she ordered it to move to the 3rd level. After the doors opened again, she showed them the way to the floor leading to the conference room. Tables stood in the floor. "Service is at this table. Additional space is here," she opened the door of a neighboring room, where more tables were inside. "You also have a replicator inside. Rest rooms for service personnel are at the end of the corridor. Those here," she pointed at two doors next to the conference room, "are for diplomats only. Any questions?"

"Is it correct that my staff and I are to be serving the food as waiters or are your people doing that?" Malec asked as Casshan did mention it but was unsure at the time he semi asked and informed Malec of the arrangement many hours ago.

"You are responsible for serving. But only outside the conference room. Regardless what someone demands, you will stay outside. That is, unless Knight Commander Maiek will allow you to enter." N'Veyan looked at the old Romulan in the blue uniform of Clan S'Terion, who simply nodded.

"Understood, may I place a few plates on the conference room table before the meeting?" Malec asked, he gestured for the others to go on and get the rest of the plates ready as a few needed finishing touches that can only be done just prior to serving.

"Yes, but please hurry up, we want to have everything in place when the guests arrive," N'Veyan stated.

The Romulan Embassy was certainly a testament to the Architectural eye of the Ambassador's wife. Rakena took in the sight as her skimmer approached. Gul Reskat sat in the front with the Driver. The Cardassian Ambassador had brought a gift with her for Lady Nevala. She clutched it tight in the back seat of the vehicle. Her personal copy of Meditations on a Crimson Shadow by Eleta Preloc. It was a Cardassian classic. The skimmer came to a stop and the Gul exited along with the Driver from the Front seat. The Driver hurriedly moved down the vehicle and opened the Ambassador's door. Gul Reskat offered a hand to the woman , who took it and stepped from the skimmer.

Rakena wore a Charcoal coloured suit that consisted of a beautifully fitted jacket with an architectural collar and a pencil skirt that fell a few inches below the knee. She had adorned the jacket with Cardassian Diplomatic insignia, which gleamed in the midday sun. Her pointed toe heels clicked on the ground as she and Gul Reskat approached the entry.

Lieutenant Casshan Kincaid stood by the embassy entrance to greet the other Ambassadors with Lieutenant Srash as his escort. He glanced over his shoulder to Srash. "Thank you for being my escort Lieutenant."

"My pleasurrrre," Srash said with a slight incline of his head. In reality, he despised these kinds of meetings, but he would never say anything to anyone outside of his brother. All of this seemed to be just like his father's big merchant meetings, only with a bit more pomp and circumstance.

"At least you can just stand there and look pretty, you don't have to deal with the Ambassadors on any basis." Casshan said after picking up on Srash's hatred. He knew it wasn't directed at anyone and so deduced it was directed at the meeting itself, he smiled hopeful of putting Srash at ease. "I got your back as you have mine," he whispered.

Srash gave Casshan a nod, but did not vocalize anything. He was unsure why the man had said this, but didn't want to question him in front of the gathering ambassadors and diplomats. He kept his eyes trained on the embassy's security forces. They were well trained and Srash was quite impressed with the show of force they were giving. Not overbearing, but enough to make you notice they were there.

First up was Ambassador Rakena Kejaad of Cardassia, she is probably the one he'd have to take the longest to convince her of anything he said. He was up for the challenge. "Welcome Ambassador Kejaad, did you have a pleasant night?" He asked with a small smile.

Rakena regarded the Officer with a cordial smile. “Lieutenant.” Her voice dripped with an unamused tone as she ignored his question and continued her stride past him.

Outside Casshan watched Rakena enter with Reskat then turned back to the line of honor guards. "Well, did she wake up on the wrong side of the bed," he commented softly to Srash.

Srash's ears had gone back involuntarily as Rakena spoke to Casshan and continued to walk. He made a sort of grunting sound when Casshan mentioned waking up on the wrong side of the bed, but didn't vocalize anything as it wasn't his place to speak of Ambassadors and Diplomats in such a fashion.

"Could have been worse I suppose." Casshan commented to Srash.

"Indeed," Srash said finally, he knew he couldn't continue making expressions and noises whenever the diplomat talked to him. He gave a slight smile, hoping he didn't look like he was grimacing.

At that point Casshan wondered where Lieutenant Phoy was, though he thought that she may arrive closer to the meeting start time as to maximise her time management.

The honour guards stood at attention and presented their disruptor rifles when Rakena and Gul Reskat passed them. N'Veyan welcomed them with a salute with her sword. "Madam Ambassador, Gul, please follow me to the turbolift." She led them to the waiting turbolift which was operated by an unarmed guard. The guard sent the turbolift to Deck Three, where Telhas waited for his guests to arrive.

Telhas smiled politely. "Lady Ambassador, welcome to my Embassy."

Rakena smiled at the Romulan man. “Thank you for hosting us Ambassador.” She remembered the book she held. “ I have a gift for Lady Nevala, will she be joining us?”

Telhas smiled back. "How kind of you. I am sure she will be most delighted. Unfortunately, my wife's presence is not scheduled for this meeting." He thought for a moment how he could still arrange a meeting between the Cardassian diplomat and Nevala. "But if you would not mind joining us for tea after the meeting, both me and Nevala would be extraordinary honoured and more than happy."

The Cardassian nodded graciously. “ Tea would be lovely. She handed the gift to Gul Reskat and followed the Romulan man closely.

Telhas bowed his head. "Thank you for accepting the invitation."

Rakena smiled. “Of course.”

Casshan remained outside and waited for Ambassador T'datroh, then he blinked his eyes wide at the realisation that there was a Federation Ambassador at the station. Chadwick. Casshan flaked at not informing him of the meeting, he wondered if there was time for the Ambassador to be brought here. He tapped his combadge. =^= Kincaid to Refelian. =^=

”Go ahead, Lieutenant.” Refelian replied after tapping his comm badge.

=^= Captain, is Ambassador Chadwick around? I think he should accompany you here when you arrive sir. =^= Casshan said, =^= You are coming right? =^=

”Ambassador Chadwick and myself have just entered the Romulan Embassy. We’ll be with you shortly.” Refelian replied.

=^= But I'm outside greeting everyone... =^= Casshan said confused as he knew the transporter alcoves were not ready to be used yet so how'd they get here before him.

Refelian came into view with Ambassador Chadwick. “It seems we’ve been rumbled.” The Captain said with a chuckle. “My apologies for being late. I had something to take care of first before attending. Have you had the pleasure of meeting Ambassador Chadwick yet?”

"In passing only during the bombing aftermath, welcome to Faltan station Ambassador, I'm Lieutenant junior grade Casshan Kincaid; Chief Diplomatic Officer." Casshan smiled and offered a hand to Chadwick. "This is Lieutenant Srash, he is my escort for the meeting," he knew Refelian knew but Chadwick might not.

"Ambassadorrrrr," Srash said with an incline of his head. "Captain," he then said to Refelian, with the same polite nod.

No sooner had Srash spoken to Refelian did the man's combadge chirp. =^= Prescott to Refelian. =^=

Refelian excused himself and moved a few steps away before tapping his comm. =^= Refelian here, go ahead Prescott. =^=

=^= We need you down in medical, if you could get here as soon as possible... =^= Mint sounded stressed.

Refelian's heart sunk as soon as she said 'medical'. =^= I'm on my way. =^= And with that, Refelian ended the comm. He returned to the group and gave an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry gentlemen, I have been called away. Please give my sincerest apology to the Ambassadors," he said before hurrying off.

Seeing Refelian leave the room as Eleanor enter it, nodding to the Captain and looking back at the people that were currently present in the room. She signs as the female computer voice spoke from her combadge [Lieutenant Kincaid, you required my presence at this meeting?] She looked at him and took a chair that was empty and sat down.

"Of course Captain," he frowned as he hoped Harry would join them but the base doesn't wait for no Captain. He then gestured for Chadwick to go inside before Casshan was faced by Eleanor and for a few moments before he realized who she was and smiled. "Wow, that's amazing. Yes Lieutenant Phoy, the meeting is on level 3. I'm going to wait for the Klingon ambassador but tell the Romulans that you are Intelligence and that their Ambassador has invited you. So go straight up." He then gestured at her. "Unless you wish to just to give the information and perform the authentication of their information so we can move forward and you can return to the base you're most welcome to do so."

Looking at the elevator and blinks a few times as Eleanor looked back at him [Understood, I will look where the conversation is going at and make my assessment from that point] She looked over her shoulder seeing the Klingon ambassador walking in eyeing Eleanor with a smirk [Your ambassador has arrived...I see you upstairs] She spoke with turning back to the elevator and making her way to it. Eleanor was not a people person, but sometimes the job required her to do the required evil.

The ambassador came to a halt and looked at Casshan "Lieutenant I believe we made an agreement to meet at this ...house for a share of information" T'datroh was not sure to be impressed by the building or the guards that were present. Was the attack on her vessel just a mere smoke screen of what was really going on "Waiting is for the weak, so guide me to the meeting room with the others" She demanded.

"Indeed," he replied to Phoy then smiled at the Klingon Ambassador. "Ah excellent you are here, let's go then," Casshan said ignoring her weak comment, and leading Srash, T'datroh and Chadwick into the embassy.

Once everyone had seated in the conference room at where they were assigned to sit, Casshan stood. "Thank you all for coming, thank you Ambassador," he gestured to Telhas, "for graciously hosting the continuation of our cooperation from yesterday." He gestured to Lieutenant Eleanor Phoy. "Chief Intelligence Officer Phoy has agreed to supply us with information regarding The Fallen Angel and any associational details surrounding the criminal. As the Lieutenant has other duties to perform I suggest we start by hearing what she has to give us, if you please Lieutenant?" Casshan asked and sat down.

She shrugs as Eleanor did not like to be put in the spotlight but she signs as her combadge begins to translate into a computer female voice [It really depends on what you all like to know. The said criminal Fallen Angel or Victoria is on the most wanted list by Starfleet Security. She is member of the Death Squad that is deemed very dangerous in their operations in the field. There have been various contact moments in the field so far on Faltan]

Casshan looked around the room for any takers who wanted to ask questions and or supply their government's knowledge of the Death Squad.

[Any information the other empires would like to share?] Eleanor signed looking around seeing the Klingon Ambassador looking at her and she blinks a few times seeing that the woman began to speak as Eleanor crossed her arms.

T'datroh smirks a bit "We are ....known for their actions. One of their members, known as Shadow is taunting us" She shrugs at the fact to admitting it "We have reason to believe that Shadow is operating in the Raeya Transit Corridor, trying to gain the attention of the Sovereignty. If that tends to happen, the Death Squad might gain a dishonorable but powerful friend"

Telhas handed everyone a PADD. "You may not take these with you, but it is the current file of the Death Squad from the Tal Shiar Archives. The version for the Senate. Let me cite a few crimes... murder of a Senator... genocide in coincidence with the use of biological weapons... murder of Tal Shiar agents... oh, and I have to add, as it is not yet entered into the file, assassination of Senatorial troops, abduction of an Ambassador's wife," his voice became angry, "and destruction of Senatorial property!" He slammed his PADD on the table and took a few breaths to calm down. "Besides that, at least Vic works with or for Governor Taga."

Looking at the given PADD, Eleanor nodded and placed it down with a sigh as she looked at the Romulan Ambassador [On that note, I believe out of the profile of the psychological review on Vic, she was trying to make a point by that action] She rose her hand to stop about how Eleanor knew about whom was behind it [I have my contacts on that matter in the field. Yet your claim on the Governor Taga is ...quite heavy, do you have proof of the connection between the parties?]

"You are right, Vic made a point by that action," Telhas replied with a respectful nod. "She wants me to stay out of Faltan Sector Block affairs. The interesting thing is that neither the Romulan Star Empire nor I have any interest in this crappy sector. However, it is a good place to reach the areas of interest. And now to your question. I know it from Governor Taga in person. I needed someone to deliver a message to Vic, the message that I understood her point. So I investigated a little who could have the power to backup such an action. Next, I met with Governor Taga," he grinned, "not that she scheduled a meeting, but I simply scheduled that meeting myself. It was a gut feeling that she would know Vic, maybe a fifty-fifty chance. When I confronted her, she refused knowing Vic, but I could trick her into confessing. And after confessing, Governor Taga was so kind to accept my request of delivering my message. Now it is up to you to believe me or not, but I give you my word that I am telling the truth."

"What about you Ambassador Kejaad? Has the Union experienced troubles with the Death Squad?" Casshan asked.

Rakena pursed her lips. "As I'm sure you're all aware, the Cardassian Union is diligently working toward rebuilding in the wake of ... recent troubles." She paused. "Intelligence still hasn't gotten back to me on the subject, but I take their silence as a sign that it isn't an urgent matter and not a threat to the Union."

"I am pleased to hear that the Union is unaffected by these criminals and is the rebuilding progressing well Ambassador? Is the Federation involved in the reconstruction? It's the least we could do." Casshan said with regret for what Starfleet has to do during the war and he was sure the Federation feels responsible for the destruction that the Dominion wrought on Cardassia Prime for their uprising with Colonel Kira's aid representing Starfleet.

[Let us keep on the subject, not to be rude. But this briefing is meant to get update on the Death Squad and the current situation on Faltan] Eleanor signed looking at Casshan [The people here require information about those people, gladly for the Cardassian Union is they did not get in touch with them. Why? Analystic reports on this group is that they operate mostly in Beta Quadrant]

"Apologies Lieutenant," Casshan said. "Yes, if we knew what their endgame is then we could possibly find out what their immediate objectives might be in order to get to their ultimate goals?" He asked.

Srash stood against the wall behind Kincaid and Phoy, watching the proceedings before him with a neutral look. He was bored out of his mind, but quite curious about this Death Squad at the same time. He wondered what the Cardassians would do if faced with them. Probably have less red tape than Starfleet to go through to destroy them. Less morale choices too. They'd probably shoot first, ask questions only if it seemed they hadn't gotten the whole group. The corners of his mouth twitched slightly as he thought of this, but otherwise he remained motionless.

"I think that we all agree that the Death Squad is a severe threat," Telhas concluded, "and that action needs to be taken. The question is what action is possible. Levelling the planet would be my preferred option, but I am very sure this would not be supported by Starfleet. So, Lieutenant Phoy, what do you suggest? Is there anything we can do to support you? Because I guess we can all agree that Starfleet should lead any operations against the Death Squad as long as they are on Faltan. Any objection to this?" He looked at Rakena Kejaad for a moment, then at T'datroh, then at Casshan Kincaid.

After a quick glance to Gul Reskat , Rakena shook her head. "No objections here."

The Klingon growls a bit and looked at Phoy "No objection from me" T'datroh spoke and looked at the others to see how this was going to roll out. The Klingons arrival was dramatic to give it a soft taste. But all in all, Starfleet did uphold their side of the bargain and assist where was required.

Phoy felt a burden coming down on her shoulders and gave Casshan a dirty eye for getting this on her as she took a deep breath and nodded to herself then signed [I need the latest reports on their whereabouts, I know Starfleet Intelligence has their history, that Tal'Shiar is not far behind on keeping their eye out in Raeya and that the Klingons Intelligence Branche is occupied with the SoK. The Cardassians can tune in on any given information. The information that is shared in this room is a binding contract of secrecy. Not because of the plausible escape of the information, but I got people in the field that are risking their lives to get me this information on Faltan. I need ears and eyes out there in the Raeya. Provide me that...and I can possible and hopefully capture them] She looked at the Romulan Ambassador [Ambassador, while I might struggle with the idea that your wife does not want to relive the hostage situation. I would love to see a briefing without any vague in it sent to me. I need to know what happened between your wife and Vic]

"I approve your request, Lieutenant," Telhas said with an affirmative nod.

T'datroh made a fist as she did not like the tone that the woman was making, yet knew the danger of these individuals "The KIB will provide what can be released....on our own terms of course" She spoke leaning a bit to the side "There is also another issue, one of my operatives have informed me that Pill'erdi Hix or also known as Wraith is on the loose...the man is a thorn in our side and fits the bill of the savage way that the SoK is following. But it appears that he was spotted on Faltan a few days before my arrival" She was serious in the given warning.

"I thought your intelligence organisation was called Imperial Intelligence?" Casshan asked while looking at T'datroh then he smiled before glancing around the room. "Now that that has been sorted Ambassadors, I believe this meeting can come to a close unless any of you have other diplomatic issues?"

He quickly added. "We can arrange other planning sessions once information has been discovered and forces assembled that we can action a plan."

"I would recommend at least weekly meetings," Telhas said, "if this meets the approval of all."

The Klingon woman ignored the reaction of the diplomat and T'datroh leans a bit back in her chair "I will see if my agenda allows it, yet my business is not only at Faltan III, but also in other regions of the Raeya Sector Block and the Raeya Transit Corridor. So my assistant might step in to be present at these meetings"

"If you trust your assistant, I will trust him as well," Telhas said in confirmation. "As I also have business away from Faltan, my wife may step in for me, if necessary."

"May I recommend having these regular meetings at the diplomatic hub, maybe every second week?" Casshan asked.

Clapping her hands as Eleanor signs [I believe I am not required to make appointments, so if you excuse me I got work to do] she bows and made her leave from the office.

Rakena was not fond of the young Diplomatic Officer. “Perhaps we could expedite these encounters by liaising with the Starfleet Intelligence or Security Departments rather than the Lieutenant Kincaid.” The Cardassian sneered.

Chadwick sat silently listening to the ideas being thrown around, and was curious why he had been brought into the meeting. Yes, he held the title of Ambassador-at-Large for the Federation, but he felt the Starfleet personnel at the starbase had a firm handle on the matter already. Perhaps there was a request from Starfleet Command at the behest of the Federation Council that he be there in case his services were needed. He intended to inquire into that after the meeting was concluded. He needed to know if his presence at the proposed future meetings was to continue, or if he'd return to his general duties as an Ambassador-at-Large working with other Federation Ambassadors with bigger issues than the local ambassadors or their staff were equipped to handle. After all, it appeared to him the starbase diplomatic and intelligence personnel had things well in hand already on Faltan.

"Why Ambassador Kejaad?" Casshan asked as he faced the Cardassian woman, curious.

“I only mean, that pursuing renegades is hardly your work.” She paused thoughtfully. “ And with us working directly with the Tactical or Intelligence branches of Starfleet we might expedite things while ...cutting out the middle man, as it were.”

"However, the Lieutenant is here to coordinate with us diplomats," Telhas said thoughtfully, "and as he is the chief diplomat for Faltan, he should be present. Do you concur, Admiral?" he addressed Chadwick.

Robert almost missed hearing his name being mentioned as he was thinking about his after-meeting actions. Thankfully he was paying just enough attention to know how to answer the question. "Absolutely," he started while rising to his feet. "In fact, I would appreciate it if this body would accept him as my official stand in as the Federation representative for future meetings should I be unable to attend. My duties are to the entire sector, not just this system, so I can't guarantee I can be here for every meeting." With that, he looked briefly to Casshan, then to Telhas and nodded his head, as he took his seat.

Telhas returned the nod and looked at the fellow ambassadors. "Is anything left we need to debate for now?"

"Thank you, but I fail to see how simply coordinating meetings between you Ambassadors and the Intelligence and Security/Tactical departments on the station is chasing renegades or any kind of spywork. However, if you feel uncomfortable with me for any reason Ambassador Kejaad, I'm happy to have one of my assistants be assigned to you or you are welcome to contact the department chiefs directly." Casshan said after he stood, he was sad that the Cardassian woman didn't like him. "I have nothing left to discuss for now. I hate to suddenly leave but I have a meeting with Captain Refelian. Please excuse me," he nodded at Chadwick with a small smile and nodded to Srash to escort Chadwick back before he left the room.

Chadwick returned with a small smile of his own, and waited for the door to close before standing again. In an even tone, showing no anger at all he started, "My fellow Ambassadors, the first time I stood it was to make a request, now I'm making it a directive. As the only formal Ambassador for the Federation on this planet, should I be unable to attend any future meetings of this party, for any briefings regarding this matter, whether formal or informal, I must insist Lieutenant Casshan Kincaid attend as both my personal representative and as the formal diplomatic representative for the United Federation of Planets." He then looked in the general direction of Kejaad without actually looking at the Ambassador, and cheekily added, "Should there be any objection to this directive, you are welcome to file a grievance with my staff or my government." Robert turned briefly to Telhas and gave a quick wink. "I'm sorry to be so direct, but while I have full faith and confidence in our Starfleet Security and Intelligence departments, often things get missed or delayed when it comes to passing all the details to our diplomats, and I'm sure you can all understand the importance that I be just as informed as all of you." He gave a sincere smile as he sat back down.

Rakena rolled her eyes. She glanced at Gul Reskat who could see the disdain in her eyes. He wanted to take her from the room, but she had been invited to have Tea with the Romulan Ambassador and his Wife, and so she must stay.

Srash was torn. He was Kincaid's security escort, but there was still the Federation Ambassador here. He caught Kincaid's nod to stay with Chadwick and bit his tongue. Returning the nod, he turned his attention to Chadwick and waited for the man to be finished with whatever else needed doing. Silently he hoped that the man would bow out as the others had. He itched to be out of the room, be able to move again. Standing here was getting tiresome and quite boring.

Robert noticed the lack of any further action, so he stood again and suggested the meeting be adjourned, and that the next scheduled meeting would be worked out with the personnel assigned to every embassy. Hearing no objection or further comment, Robert made a formal motion to adjourn, however there was no actual vote taken, everyone else just seemed to nod in agreement. He bent down to pick up his briefcase and turned to Srash who seemed to look happy at their imminent departure. Robert waved his hand to let the Lieutenant lead the way out of the room, and was not surprised when the Security chief placed himself between Chadwick and any other people who may pose a threat to the diplomat. Normally Robert would be escorted by at least 2 Marines, but for formal occasions, Starfleet Security or even senior Starfleet Officers would be his escort. No matter who the escort was, he was just glad to finally be out of the meeting.

Briefly leaning in toward Srash's ear, Chadwick asked, "Was it just me, or did it seem like they really didn't want anyone from the Federation, except the spooks and your Security teams having anything to do with the matter? I just hope Lieutenant Kincaid is up to the challenge of filling in for me. You know him better than I, what do you think of his abilities to fill my shoes in there?"

Srash looked to the Ambassador and gave a shrug of his shoulders as they walked. "I do not know him sirrrr," he said simply. "I was assigned escorrrt duty, haven't worrrrked with him beforrrre," he said as they left the building. "I shall escorrrt you back to yourrr office and then I have to rrrrreoprrrrt into my superrriorrrs for my next assignment." He fell silent again as they continued on.
