Mission 2: Into The Breach
Location: Casshan's Quarters
Timeline: MD06 - 1000
After everything Casshan was starting to consider a new career might be worth looking into. His counseling licence was going to take fivever to be restored, he had no doubt about that, diplomacy was too looking to be somewhat of a mistake. Maybe he should resign. Standing at the sink in his bathroom, he splashed some water onto his face and rubbed at his whole face, neck and head. Feeling slightly better he heard a chime at his door.
"Who is it?" Casshan called.
"Malec."
"Coming..." Casshan replied, as he got sorted. 'Were we meeting? Was I meant to call him? Did I forget something?' He thought as he made his way to the door and tapped the lock.
Once it was open Malec smiled.
"Did we have plans? Was I meant to meet you somewhere?" Casshan said quickly turning a little rosy cheeked.
"No," Malec stepped forward and placed both hands on Casshan's shoulders. "Calm down Cash."
The contact did soothe Casshan somewhat and he closed his eyes for a few deep breaths. He opened his eyes to see Malec's mischievous grin. "What," he began to say with slightly narrowed eyes.
That's when Malec leaned in and kissed him. It was soft, full of passion and just a tinge of lust. Casshan could sense it even through the medium strength mind-shields he had up but he wasn't really in the mood for anything. He broke the kiss and smiled.
"What's wrong?" Malec asked concerned.
"Too much on my mind, I'm sorry." Casshan said placing his hands on Malec's chest and looked at them. "I've made two massive mistakes and I will not be able to prove I can be trusted again."
Malec gently pulled Casshan into an embrace and slightly tightened the hold. Casshan felt safe but pulled away then put his hand into Malec's. "Maybe not in the doorway," he chuckled.
Malec chuckled as well. "Well we can just lounge around, did you eat?"
"Now that you mention it..." His stomach growled. "Clearly not, unfortunately I am under house arrest."
"What?"
"Speaking, or in this case telepathically, out of order. While meeting with the Faltan governor," Casshan growled as the two sat down on the lounge sofa. "You might hear something about it in the news as I thoughtspoke with the reporter."
Malec put an arm up and over so it landed around Casshan's shoulders. "Unless she's going to use it to get you court-martialed I don't see why she would do anything about it."
"She doesn't like me and reporters like power, she'd do it just because she can." Casshan replied hopelessly. "I can't even meet with her to make it up to her. I did apologise to her at the time I did it but words can never be enough for some people."
"Well let's focus on relaxing okay Cash, we can deal with the reporter when and if she decides to be vindictive." Malec said as he pulled Casshan closer and Casshan just before putting his head on Malec's chest looked up.
"Food?" He asked.
The two chuckled as the went to the replicator and began programming a buffet of snack foods and drinks.
