Once her father had left Kara had fed and winded baby Briana, letting Tomer take over to change their tiny bundle ready for a nap before taking the quiet time they had to cuddle up with her husband. Time together had just become a whole lot more precious to her now she had to divide her time between husband and baby. “You do know how much I love you right?” She looked up at Tomer as her head rested on his leg where she lay down.

"Not half as much as I love you, Spots," Tomer replied, stroking Kara's face and then her hair. He smiled lovingly at his wife. "Who would have thought that I could find my Besherta so soon, let alone on a random beach? I suppose that's the way it is, though. Whatever I did to deserve you, let me do it so many more times."

“Be careful what you wish for!” Kara smiled mischievously. “Once I’m up to it we’re taking a trip to the holodeck and recreating that beach. That’s providing Briana will let us have enough alone time to enjoy ourselves.”

"She would not dare deprive her parents of their alone time." He wriggled his eyebrows up and down at Kara. "Besides, with your father here, perhaps he would want to babysit, hmmm?"

Kara smiled a wry smile. “Perhaps I could persuade him, if he’s still here once my body is healed enough to be able to take advantage of you!”

"Perish the thought! Whatever will I do?" Tomer asked with feigned concern.

Kara grinned. “Oh I’m sure you’d think of something! First things first though we both need to make sure we’re up-to-date on our contraceptive treatments. Either that or we’ll end up with a house load of kids!” She smiled a wry smile. “Not that I’m averse to having a large family.”

"You might never get to work again, if it is too large," Tomer told his wife with a laugh. "And you are much more in demand than myself. I'm a dime a dozen security guy."

“You are nothing of the sort!” Kara smiled as she gently rested her hand on his cheek for a moment. “You are the man who holds my heart and without you I’d be nothing!”

"Nothing? Spots, you are simply wrong about that. I know that you were something else before me and if I were not around, the men would be lining up to take my place." He slipped his hands around Kara's waist.

“I’d pass by every one of them and hunt for you!” Kara looked into her husband’s eyes. “You are my soulmate Imzadi, we were meant to be together that I’m sure of!”

"Oh, Besherta, I am well aware. We are one and always will be."

“Good, cause you’re stuck with me!” Kara grinned. “We seriously have to find another beach sometime but it’ll probably be a family visit this time, I’m looking forward to teaching Briana all about new things when she’s older that is.”

"I know what I will be teaching her," Tomer started. "Boys are bad." He grinned devilishly at his wife. "I think I should start deciding on which phaser I should meet any boy at the door with...."

“Oh really?” Kara grinned. “Just remember to play nice when that time comes I don’t want you chasing off our daughter’s potential boyfriends.”

"I won't chase them away when she's old enough to date," Tomer replied sagely. "When she's 30."

“Oh boy!” Kara grinned. “I can see I’m going to have to teach you all about giving your daughter some leeway. Either that or take your mind off things better.”

"Are you saying that you're going to let her run amuck or just distract me an awful lot?"

“No daughter of mine will run amuck” Kara grinned. “I just like the idea of distracting you a lot!”

"I like being distracted, but I also remember who you were before we met. She'll run amuck. I'm going to have to handcuff her to my side to make sure she doesn't," he told Kara with a boisterous laugh.

“Good luck!” Kara grinned a wry grin. “You’ll be one male in a house with two girls!!”

"We'll have to rectify that then. I can't have myself being outnumbered!"

Kara grinned. “Just you wait until I’m fit enough!” Her fingers trailed playfully over the front of his trousers. “I’ll make sure you give it your all.”

"Oh, I'll be waiting with baited breath. Lord knows that I have been less than patiently waiting and you are definitely not making it one bit easier right now."

Kara smiled. “I know but I can’t help it, you drive me totally insane and you know it! Roll on when the doctor gives me the all clear to get back to our extra curricular activities!”

"And in the meantime?" Tomer asked, watching his wife's actions eagerly.

“In the meantime ...” Kara gave her husband a mischievous look and slowly got up before pulling Tomer up off the sofa and leading him towards the bedroom. “How’s about I treat you to something I know you’ll enjoy ....
