Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Government Building, Faltan City
Timeline: MD05 - 0037

A dark figure scaled the Government building. The higher she got the more the wind got stronger. It didn’t deter her from her mission.

Once she reached the Governors, now boarded up, window. She slow and silently undid the fixings which held one of the boards in place. The Government were stupid, using glass instead of the more modern version but this just made her mission a lot easier.

She slipped inside the dark office and hid in a large cupboard and waited for her prey to walk in.

“Has there been any word from Starfleet about the condition of their Captain?” Governor Tizd asked as he opened the door to his office.

“I’m afraid not.” His Deputy, Taga replied. “I told you inviting them here was a bad idea. But you made the right choice but not letting them investigate this crime. It’s best left to Dintu to look into it. We will find who is responsible, mark my words.”

The Governor nodded solemnly, “I know there was never going to be friendship with our peoples but to get along would have been something.”

“We will get there, Governor.” Taga replied. “You’re not turning in?”

Tizd shook his head, “No, to much on my mind. Goodnight Dreyem.” He said before heading into his office and closed the door behind him.

The office was dark and cool from the night air seeping in through the gaps in the boarding. He decided against the main light and headed to the fire place and lit the fire before taking a seat behind his desk.

He went for the bottom draw and pick out a glass and a bottle of Union whiskey that Dreyem and Ebe has brought back from their meeting with the Union planet officials. The bottle was already half empty, perhaps he was seeking comfort in the whiskey all to often lately.

He poured himself a snort before replacing the cork in the bottle. He took a deep breath in, the combined smell of the night air, burning wood and the Union whiskey was a satisfying one. He downed the contents which quickly warmed and soothes his insides. He then poured himself another...

Once she heard the cork was off the bottle for a second time, she slowly moved out of the cupboard. Moving behind the Governor she quietly pulled out the Starfleet phaser she’s been given for the mission. Stun setting at close range to the head would do the trick and if it didn’t being left all night would leave him unsaveable.

The urge to just snap the Governor’s neck was hard to resist but she had her orders. She silently stood behind him and waited for him to finish his second glass of whatever it was he was drinking. Once he place the glass back on the table she lifted the phaser to his temple. “Your time in office is over, Governor Tizd.” She said before firing the weapon.

With the Governor slumped in his chair she dropped the phaser and made her escape.
