Mission: Mission 1: The Return to Faltan
Location: Colonial Governor’s Office, Government Building, Faltan City
Timeline: MD07 - 1400

Governor Dreyem Taga stood at the newly replaced window in her newly acquired office and smirked as she looked out at the beautiful city she called home. After a speedy redecoration of her office, which included a new plush carpet to replace the blood-stained one. A lit scented candle, brought from a market on Union, letting off a subtle floral fragrance which filled the office.

Today, she knew, wasn’t going to be a good day. Disappointing news had reached her, which angered her. Everything had gone to plan so far. Actually, it had gone smoother than she had anticipated, but she hadn’t anticipated how foolish one of her commandants could be. She awaited their arrival so she could hear first hand what had happened.

The door went open as two people entered the room "Ma'am Commandant Aasag Kridu of the Northern District from Red Guards is here to see you as requested" The assistant said formal and gave a slight nod towards Aasag. The man stood at attention with his hands before him looking at the governor as the doors closed behind him "Congrats on the new position Governor"

“Thank you.” She said to her assistant. “That will be all.” Taga then looked at the Commandant as her assistant left the room. “Thank you, Commandant. Can I get you some tea? It’s a new brand I discovered when visiting Raeya several weeks ago.”

Aasag shook his head and looked around towards the newly decorated room "No thank you, Governor,, thanks for the offer" He said and stood there still, while he knew what the governor wanted from him, he had no time for a pissing contest. There was still a lot of work to do and after the last failure at his mining camp, he was sure that it won't happen again.

“That’s a shame it’s a nice smooth blend.” She said as she poured herself a cup. She then picked up the cup and saucer and moved around her desk. “So,” She said with a smile as she stopped to face the Commandant. Suddenly, she struck him across the face with the back of her hand. “Tell me why I shouldn’t have you killed for your failure.”

Taking the hit like a man and slowly looking back at her "You still hit like a girl Governor" He smirks with a grin afterward "While I understand your frustration of my lack of obligations in regards of the mine itself. We have considered the whole situation and not just part of it" Giving her a lecture of tactical operations "The camp Commander, his assistant and guard in the staff room were all found dead in one location Governor, does that not strike you for something odd?"

“Of course it’s odd, Commandant.” She said as moved back behind her desk. “What have your investigations found?”

Shaking his head "Well you are gamebreaker are ya, I mean always want to go straight to the point" He finally takes a seat at the desk "The personal that struck down, were killed quickly and professional" He stated with a smirk "They left the area without even anyone noticing... we are dealing with pro's here"

Dreyem took a sip of her tea. “Forgive me, do you need me to hold your hand to get over your losses?” She said putting on a pathetic voice. “I don’t give a fuck. I want to know what we are dealing with. Professionals, you say, could Starfleet be onto us?”

"And here I thought you had a weak spot for me" He stroke his chest as Aasag continues "Starfleet got their idealism up their ass, I don't know them other than 'we come in peace' and 'lets talk, because violence does not solve anything' crap" He leans back in his chair "I might even possibly think that we are dealing with a rebellion of the people..."

“Are you suggesting Faltan’s are rising up?” The Governor replied, shocked at the notion. “Why would they do that?”

Aasag was amused by the shock effect "Well nothing is certain, but there are various actions that relay towards such motions are at play" He puts his finger to his head and leans a bit on it "Just add up the recent events, you know me well enough that these....events would not happen if I am around" He let that sink in "Things are planned out pretty well, intentional or not...they made the attack at Red Dye look like child's play. Offended as I might be...this was well played" He took a moment as Aasag looked at his side to the window "I was at the old area of the Jades to get things operational with installing a new Commandant there" He explained and looked back at Dreyem "So while you want to hang me for losing those slaves...I did my duties and let the men go in their pants into the desert to ...shake off the guilt and beheaded the Lieutenants and spike them at the mining camp as an example of the failure"

Taga considered what the Commandant had just said for a moment as she took a few sips of her tea. “How depleted is the workforce at the mine?”

"I can get new ...volunteers" He grins a bit and looked at Dreyem "As for your captured VIPs that escaped my grasp. I got a little surprise waiting for them on the route towards that filfy Starfleet station" He looked at the window "Deadmen don't speak I believe was the saying" Aasag had recruited a good portion of his own veterans to ambush the convoy that was transporting the administrative team. The truth will stay hidden in the hands of Faltan.

Dreyem smiled, “At least you’re clearing up lose ends.” She said before setting down her cup and saucer. “What about our latest acquisition?”

He blinks a bit and then realizes who she means "She is still in our hands, but don't have her friends in orbit?" Aasag said with some concern.

“They’ve already contacted us regarding what happened but it couldn’t be us.” She said with a devious smile. “I pointed them in Starfleets direction as I told them they assassinated our beloved Governor. The fools believe me, my sources tell me that the stations First officer has gone up to their ship to grovel forgiveness.”

"A classic case of licking boots until they shine" Aasag shrugs and continues "Thought on another note, are you not going to restrain Death squad? I mean Skinner is torturing to many people already. Phantom might have failed, but she to enjoys suffering more and I think she missed that shot on purpose" He leans a bit forward "Then there are the other three walking around and doing their damage....is their leader as dangerous as they say?" Aasag was skeptical about the woman in question, but still fear was present among his men.

Dreyem smiled, “Are you suggesting that she missed the Starfleet Captain on purpose, or did that small brain not think that perhaps she was ordered to injure not kill the Starfleet Captain.” She again took another sip of her tea. “If she’d Killed the Captain, Starfleet would have had a fleet here wanting to investigate. Refelian isn’t stupid, he wants peace and his officers know that so will be at arms length at all times. They’ve also backed off as we’ve accused them of killing Tizd. Everything has gone to plan.”

Shaking his head a bit to the poor attempt of insults towards him “Well I guess something’s we are in need to know basics” Aasag shrugs and looked at her “ what about death squad itself? Skinner and the others? Do we have a grip on them somehow?”

“All are none of your concern. Stick to matters that concern you rather than those that don’t. Is there any other failure you wish to inform me off?” The Governor said, bored of the conversation now.

He stood up an bows "Not that I know off Governor" He said and bows a bit as Aasag looked back her "If you excuse me, I got work to do" With that he made his exit and walked towards the door.
