Mission:
Mission 4 - Like a Thunderbolt
Location: Turbolift
Timeline: MD02
With all of the new officers scheduled to appear, Candy knew that she was going to be in for some new, good dirt. However, even she was surprised when she learned that a mere six hours after M'Mira had put out her request for reinforcements that a new Chief Strategic Officer had already been assigned. Naturally, before he arrived, she had acquired all of his records and searched for dirt. She had to admit that he was a handsome sort; however, the better looking they were, the more likely they were to think that she was an easy target. Good thing for her, she had her wits about her. All she wanted was the story. If there was none, well, she always had Connor. Or did she? They really never got around to discussing their future again. Things always came up and neither had yet broached it.
Preparing to pounce, she had watched as the new Chief Strategic Officer had entered M'Mira's office. Based on M'Mira's previous behavior, she suspected that M'Mira would be quite short with Koloff. Therefore, it was incumbent to get into position quickly. Which direction should I be coming from in order to attract his attention at the turbolift. Oh, yes.... I probably should be walking towards it, the moment that M'Mira's door opens. Then he can get a glimpse of my backside, or a profile of my boobs. He'll like that. I'll have him eating out of my hand in no time.
True to her own thoughts, she saw the door open and she started walking confidently towards the turbolift, paying no attention to who came out and expecting to be stopped soon enough. If she was not, it would not be her first disappointment but they were few and far between. She liked her odds.
Yuri had exited the Commander's Office and he decided to touch base with her after she rested. For now he had an office to find and some quarters He had his bag slung over his shoulder and he began his walk to the turbolift.
Candy said nothing. She allowed her hips to swing a bit extra than her normal walk. When she got to the turbolifts, she patiently waited, her back turned to Yuri, her long, wavy, blonde hair cascading behind her. Any moment now....
"You're that Reporter Candy Templeton...." Yuri said as he stood there and waited for the lift. Admittedly he waited and looked at something else as well, couldn't hurt right?
Damn! Does this mean that I can't use the dumb blonde routine. Sigh. That's much more fun. Well, we'll find another motif as we go along. And where the hell is the turbolift? Maybe a joke about that.... "Now that's really not a great way to address a girl, is it?" she replied, turning towards Yuri with a secret smile, making sure that he could plainly see her figure. She then took a step closer, allowing her breasts to come front and center. "I'm not used to being kept waiting, but it seems this turbolift is making me.... What do you say about that?"
"All good things come to those that wait?" He responded to her question with a question of his own. The bulky Russian man was agreeing that the lift was a little slow. "Besides you're on all the news vids and are not hard to miss."
"Most people do not recognize me from the backside," she countered as the turbolift finally arrived and opened. She looked him up and down and asked, "Are you going to introduce yourself or do you like having me at a disadvantage?" She walked into the turbolift, giving him another backside view, then turned around and gave him a mischievous smile.
"I'm Lieutenant Yuri Koloff, the Strategic Operations Officer just assigned to the Station." He said as he offered her his hand. The lift the whirring up to start its journey.
Candy took his hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, Lieutenant. Though, I do hope that you have a modicum more of talent than your predecessor," she said with a giggle. "But, you showed up, so you probably do."
"Well in my career so far I have managed to get by with my talents, they haven't let me down so far," He responded flashing her a half smile.
Candy removed her hand, maintaining her smile. "I bet you have," she responded with another silly giggle. "So, tell me about yourself."
"I'm Russian as you can probably tell." he smiled politely. "I have been doing this for a long time, though I used to be a bit of a spy in my early days though that is very hush hush."
"Did you now?" Candy replied conspiratorially. "Anything that I should know about?"
"Oh, well, my dear, I am sorry to say much of what I did was very boring and very top secret." He looked her up and down. "I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty though of course....."
Putting a pouty face on, she said, "I know how to keep a secret.... I mean, you could just be telling me a line.... After all, so many do...."
"And why lie to somebody i just met hm?" The grin on his face seemed to mesh well enough with her playful antics. "What can I tell you? I'm a sucker for famous blondes."
"People lie to me all the time," she answered with a simple shrug. "But, perhaps that is why the truth is so very important to me...."
Yuri nodded. "I suspect in your line of work it's all about finding truth amongst the lies and the deception." He looked her up and down once more.
"You could say that," she replied, still smiling, noticing his eyes continuing to wander all over her body. The turbolift suddenly stopped, shaking it. Candy was thrown into Yuri.
"Careful now, we do not want any accidents do we?" Yuri said grinning as he caught her and for a moment she was held close to him. His gaze towards hers.
Candy grinned back. Fortuitous. I have him where I want him now. "I don't believe in accidents," she responded, not leaving his grasp. "Though, this turbolift seems to believe in them. I wonder who screwed up. I'm going to have to find out."
"Well that's a long list of possibilities on a Station of this size." He responded smirking.
"Oh, trust me, I'll find out." She grinned back. Candy was close enough that Yuri could smell her minty breath. "If I have to go back to earth to find out, I will." She smiled devilishly. "I've been told that it is very hard to say now to me."
"Somehow i can believe that be true." He responded, his hold of her had not loosened. "I think a pretty thing like you gets what she wants."
"Thing?" she asked with a mock scandalized voice. "Do you think I'm an object? Something to be owned? Hmmm?" Candy gave Yuri a vicious smile.
His mouth curled into something that she'd notice and would highlight his features. "You seem resourceful even to be free not owned."
"Are you offering me something?" Candy asked curiously.
“Well I guess I can be inclined to help a lady out with her career when a juicy story comes my way,” He replied to her smirking.
"Promises promises," Candy replied pushing herself lightly away, wondering if Yuri's grip would allow her to release. "How about something now?"
“What would you like?” He asked he as he got a moment of her perfume she had on. Very exotic.
"I would like to know of all of your exploits," she told him seriously.
“Alright I’ll give you one.” He commented to her. “Though to be fair more than one seems to be what you want.” He commented to her.
"I always want it all," she replied with innuendo dripping all over the words. "No point in stopping short."
“Quite.” He responded to her. “I’ll give you a freebie now but anything else will cost you……”
"Oh?" Candy asked more interested.
"I used to work undercover on Romulus after Shinzon's Coup in 79 but back then Romulus was a beautiful place before it blew up." He commended to her. "Nothing like cutthroat politics to get the blood pumping."
"And what were you doing? Disguised as a Romulan?" She looked at each side of his head, "Pointy ears do not suit you. But of course, this is hard to verify with the destruction of Romulus...."
"I was deep cover yeah, ears, eyebrows the whole get up." He responded smirking at her.
"So what exactly did you do?" Candy asked, a skeptical smirk on her face.
"Oh you know." He smirked. "A little bit of this and a little bit of that, I did a lot of things undercover but sadly I can't tell you the full ins and outs."
"Uh huh...." Candy responded more disbelieving, while moving to the other side of the turbolift. "You're going to get eaten alive out here."
“Alright my dear if you say so.” He commented as he watched her move in the in a way moment. Hypnotic in a way.. “Have dinner with me? I’ll bite and I’ll tell you more and I’ll tell you the truth.”
Candy looked amused. "I say so and," she said with a meaningful pause, "you only get to bite if I get what I want."
"Sounds like a fair trade off don't you think?" He asked with wide grin on his face, Yuri had played this game before so felt it necessary to go with it.
Abruptly the turbolift started again, throwing Candy to the floor and the other side of the turbolift. Unphased, she stood back up and faced Yuri. "Just remember that. Otherwise, well, let's just say that there are others that know how to satisfy me."
"I shall keep that in mind....." He responded with a grin.
The turbolift doors opened. Candy just grinned. "As well you should," she finished as she gestured for Yuri to get out. "I believe this is your floor."
"I've got some free time." He proceeded forward out of the lift and onto the deck. "Certainly use the help unpacking."
Candy laughed at that. "Quite double entendre. Subtle but direct." She shook her head in the negative. "I'm not a maid. I think you can handle it yourself."
The doors closed as Yuri exited the turbolift. Candy thought to herself, Let's see your next move, hot shot.
